ORIGINAL: barrielever I ran the engine as it came from the factory at .011" , I normally run at 0.016" on the cast case engine, I will get more time to fly the engine this weekend and maybe try different head gap. Barrie Barrie, What's the new stroke on the Jett LS rod now? The previous generation quickie motor had a .708 stroke, but I have not check with Dub for the new LS motor yet. I'm sure the new motor will have higher numbers, but not sure what it is yet. I spoke to Dub briefly today at the Q40 race in Phoenix and was suprised that his new Jett LS have a lot more torque than the Nelson. With that being said, running big props shouldn't be a problem, but there was a hint that he will push the envelope a little further with more top-end RPM since there's plenty of torque to be had. Just something to think about when you're racing that new LS motor. |
