My only disappoint with the kit was that that the large Aeroworks decals weren't included with the kit.
Regards,

BF

My kit did not have the wing decals either. I contacted aero-works and apparently they do not come with the kit. They have to be purchased from kirby's

This has become a series of disappointments. Not only did Aeroworks not communicate at all in this decal thing, but I had to call them as they charged the credit card used for the kit purchase over $54 for replacement decals without my permission or acknowledgment. I called them and spoke with Chuck, explained the situation and was told that "we have a new secretary, I'll look into it and call you back." No call back yet. This is not stellar after-sales support by any definition. I've never had a company feel free to use a my credit card without my authorization before, speak with them about this and not respond. At this point, I've left it with my credit card company to deal with. Too bad the company performance with their business is not as good as the performance of the product. This type of experience with a business definately gives one serious pause about any repeat business.

They sent you the decals before they charged your credit card?

Mine came without the #7 pack (the pull-pull, control horns and screws). I think I might pass on the large decals. Rather misleading as they included them in the manual.

which will fly Imac better....the 260 or the 300????????

Thanks

Since Mark doesn't seem to want to answer, I'll throw my 2 cents in. Looking at the photos of the 2 planes, there appears to be very little difference. The main things I see are the canopy and landing gear. My guess is these would fly almost identically. Key word being guess. Looking at photos of the real 260 and 300, there are more differences than portrayed in these models. I think both RC planes resemble the 260 more than the 300.

The charged my card as they sent me the decals. They're not even the right decals.

Dennis - I gave Chuck the correct number when I spoke with him around the 20th of June. So nice try, but....

For those of you who are considering this kit, you may want to consider what you might need in terms of after sales support and you may also want to consider carefully that buried within assembly instructions phrases such as "Decals supplied with kit may vary from what is shown" to mean "optional" or "not supplied."

Boo hoo, you didn't get the decals you wanted. Who cares? I bought the plane to fly it, not look at it. You certainly won't need any after-sales support for the build because the manual is the most complete I've ever seen. 80 pages for an ARF!!! A total noob could put this thing together!

This is my first Quick Build, and it truly is. Got here on Friday, and I should be done with it by this Friday!!! And I work for a living.

Can't wait to fly it.

Kerry

Humm...what is all the hub-bub about decals? Mine came with them, but I'm not likely to put them on as I will make my own.

It's not like they are some outstanding "tear-away" or vendor decals. They are basic lettering; individual letters I might add, so putting them on is going to be a chore.

I agree with KerryDel....this is an outstanding airplane. I did an electric conversion and put it together in 2 nights after the kids were in bed. I think I referenced the manual maybe twice regarding the landing gear. "Quickbuild" is a serious understatement.

It's a sweet plane...looks great...flys great.

Perhaps you should read the whole thread before making inane comments. I didn't get what I paid for and I do think that is something one should consider before making a purchase. Additionally, a company applying charges to a credit card used on a previous transaction is really something that one should consider before doing business with a company. How would you react with unexpected charges. Beyond this, with 4 pages of the wonderful manual you rave about dedicated to installing graphics suddenly not included really shows what a company thinks of you as a consumer. What parts will be dropped next? These are things to consider.

You know, I read the whole thread and saw that Mark was trying to take care of the situation. Instead of taking him up on it, you made a sarcastic comment "...nice try..."

Is it right for a company to charge a credit card before shipping? No.
Was your package missing decals? Apparently.
Was this handled right by both parties? Not from what I see.
Does it look like AW is going through growing pains? Yes...but that is a good thing.
Does the plane look better with the supplied decals? I don't think so...but that is just my opinion.

The thing is we are all human and make mistakes. These planes are very likely not built here is the US so maybe something happened with the manufacturer.

I'm sure Aeroworks (or any company) wants to hear if something is wrong and be given a chance to make things right. But how this instance transpired was not done to solve the issue, but rather to damage the companies reputation. Which is pointless since they make awesome planes and I don't want them driv'n out of business.

I have yet to see any customer service person respond well to negativity. They are people too and don't like to be yelled at. Like they say, you get more flies with honey than vinegar. When you start trashing people they are not likely to bend over backwards for you.

Anytime I have had a customer service issue, I politely (and privately) walk it up the management chain until I get what I want....and it ALWAYS works.

If it is that big of a deal you can have my decals...I'm not going to use them.

Aero-Works has outstanding customer service. I have dealt with them on several occasions and never had one issue. I will continue to buy from them over and over again, for they have a higher class of arf than most!

All this over decals? Geesh.
