There has been some neat pylon videos posted recently here and at other sites, and thought I'd start a thread and start to list the videos in one place for people to see what going fast is all about.

This first video was done in Muncie Indiana this past summer (2007) at the FAI F3D World Championships where our own Randy Bridge (LUV TO RACE on RCU) wins it all. Very professional video.

Feel free to add video links and comments.

Some vintage 1992 Formula 1 action in Canada. Back when planes were judged. Neat planes.

Here is a video of one of the giant scale F-1 heats in Parker AZ. last October. It's a bit hard to see as I was pretty far away.

Here was the flyoff for 1st place at the 2007 422 (Q40) Nationals.

Chris Callow vs. Fred Burgdorf.

Looks like a one plane race (Chris), since Fred flew a bit higher. Fred won the race and 1st place, 2007 National Champ via flyoff.

This is a post on you tube done by Kevin Umbach, one of the fellows from the CPPRA (Canadian Prairie Pylon Racing Association). It is a series of still pictures set to a music backdrop that summarizes some of this districts racing for 2007. I have an orginal on DVD and it is very well done.

Not a video, but great in-flight pictures from the 2007 Winterfest near Phoenix, AZ.

They don't use the cages under the pylons, they have been there since the rule has changed. Those poles don't come down, they stay up year round as far as I know.
