Savage has lots of problems HUH??? Im not an owner of a savage but even I know the savvy is the best basher you can get hands down. I would not quite put the Avalanche ahead of the savage in that department but the avalanche will walk all over it in any other area.

Isn't the savage nutorious for bending shocks? don't see why that make it a good basher.. but thats my opinion.. and if you aren't an owner of one or have previously owned one...........

Alot of people start off with redcat and stuff and do not know what you really have to do to run nitro cars and do not know how to drive so they run into things at full speed, do not check their screws and loctite stuff and do not know how to tune there motors and other finicky stuff you have to do with nitro cars. SO while they have there redcat they seem to have problems and end up learning by all of there mistakes so when they want something new, all of the stuff they did not know about nitro cars they now know with there new one so they check what they have too and know more about tuning so it SEEMS like there new truck is better when in actuality it is the same. They just did not know in the beginning. That is why some people have a bad view of redcat and some other brands trucks. Once you learn then you do not have those problems anymore. HOPE THIS HELPS.

The savage is a great bashing machine, don't let one sided opinions make the decision. Don't get me wrong here the avalanche is a great machine too, but not a full blown basher. Ok, lets hear the attacks now!

ok i gotta chime in here. a couple of my buddies have nitros, a t-maxx, a revo and a hpi of some sort. i got a volcano sv. i have twice the uptime they do. i have broken a couple parts too just like anyone else. and yes they were rims. even had a tire explode on me.(that was cool to see) but for all the money they spent on big names, and some fancy logo my volcano sv comes out on top with durability and reliability. my buddies t-maxx is a crap shoot if it will actually start on any given day. the volcano always starts. mine may not be as fast but it's still out there banging away when their trucks are bein fixed. plus i have better support then they do. my buddy had some trouble doing the breakin on his t-maxx and the lhs he bought his from laughed at him when he brought back his new motor. it blew up during breakin. it was his fault he had it too lean during break in, but if i did that with redcat i got the engine replacement program to back me. those 3 guys are buying redcats in the next few weeks because they like my little volcano and think it's time to get a nitro they can drive not sit at the bech for 2 hours drive for 3 hours and sit at the bench for another 3 hours. my opinion is redcat isn't the biggest name out there (yet) but it is kind of funny that everyone knows the name enough to say that they are junk. ask them why and it's always the same answer i get (chinese junk) but they have a real reason. it doesn't matter what name you buy they all break. traxxas, hpi, sportwerks, ofna, redcat(exceed, himoto) but noone has the support like redcat. and at one time everyone said all traxxas was junk. i imagine it would have been when they started out too. just like redcat is doing. no company becomes big in just a few years they all started somewhere.

Reckless,

You wont get much of an attack here in the redcat forum. Thats because there are no ignorrant people here and we all enjoy what we do and we all get along real well. Its not a contest here to see who has the biggest and baddest RC. If you look WE/Redcat owners and this forum are the ONLY ones on this whole forum that get involved in making and participating in contests. Thats what its all about. FUN!!!! We dont get involved in the he said she said crap BUT we will defend Redcat as a whole because of the service that we get. You wont find the loyalty ANYWHERE on this site except for here. Yes there may be a bad one here and there but thats with all brands. Redcat isnt perfect. Far from it actually. Redcat will be up there with the big names for sure. I dont think anyone here would actually agree that any of the reedcats as for now will completely outbash a Savage because thats what the savage is built for but the savage does have its share of problems. I can say with out a doubt the Avalanche because of the way its built will out handle any name brand MT out except maybe the LSt2 and Muggy. We are like 1 big family. We enjoy others ideas, pictures, videos and help out anywhere we can but you wont find any bashing here.

that is true. its just that everyone now and again has problems with their rc's.
but that is what makes nitro cars fun to use and interesting to fix/tune/modify.
