Status: offline 		I have an older Q-40 I beleave its a Diego Red buy whom I dont know. May be Larson. Any way I got it second hand from Alen Green and I had to rebiuld the ft end because he planted it. Well I have a used Jett Q-40 (that Dub rebiuld himself) in it and my Q is how do I make a fuel shut off for this bird? I have a Q-40 Stileto and it has a prity cool way of shuting the fuel off. It pulls the fuel line in to a little hole to sqweez the fuel line. I tryed doing this with the Deigo Red ,but have had no luck. Any way thanks in advance.

Status: offline 		Bud, If you can get by Dub's he's got that set up on his Pole Cat. After seeing it, its real simple. How's the flying at the new club? It's looking positive for a Club-40, Q-25 race up here in New Waverly.

Status: online 		One has to understand High Plains sense of humour. I use the word "Sense" very loosely.

Forget all of the spaghetti tubing in and out of the engine compartment and the wires through the firewall. See the picture. The feed line goes from the tank through the shut-off and straight to the tank. Every time the wing is removed the fuel and pressure lines can be checked.

Are you saying to have them all in radio compartment?

I thought you would only fly with your tank on the CG? Is your CG really that far in front of the wing?

That is an old picture from the "Backwards tank" days. I used it to show the shutoff. Nowdays the tank is on the CG but the shutoff is in basically the same position, maybe a little further forward.

Status: offline 		Skull1971 cant make it to Dubs .but thats cool I got the ideal. The flying is good at Kitty Hawk rc field but the landings are something ells. We don,t have a paved runway. and the grass strip is a little rough. Oh well our big wigs are working on those prob. Ed that looks cool and I am defanetly going to give it a try in the future. Don,t worry about High Plains I know he was just horsing around.
