Likely, the Ultimate 70 will do the job, but with a little less "left over".

My Chinn Yakk has equal odds at a Saito 72 or 82. It depends on which other plane I crash first, to free up the engine.

It seems Chris has a distributor in Europe, but I'm not sure they carry the entire EF line up. Maybe Chris will pop in to confirm.

Just go ahead and buy the thrust plates. They work much better-don't just crush into the wood mount- they're cheep and you will have plenty for you next several progects.

I do one washer, just because it feels better for me. I like the thrust line a little closer to center than most folks. I'm in the minority there.

I don't see the plates on the OMP site either. Maybe just call John and see if they still have them or not. Also, Paul Swany used to sell them.

Ok, I know this is going to stupidly overpowered, but I stuck my saito 91 on my yak. Fully built and with no fuel I came in at 4 lbs. 11 oz. I stuck everything I could on the opposite side of the engine to lateral balance it. The engine is mounted pretty far back. When I went to balance CG I started a the beginning 5'' and still had to put the battery in to almost the leading edge of the wing. So I ended up balancing at 5 1/4. I also made it so I can move my battery back when needed. Also I didn't like the hardware. I broke 2 rods trying to screw on the ball swivels. I ended up using some other stuff I had laying around from another kit.

The HS-85 MG is good, and comes with side mounting tabs that make the job easy.

tailtwister got my offset plate in...what leading edge do I use the fat side or the smaller tappered edge. If I use the fat side it way over the size of two washers, should I cut it in half and start from there ?

The thrust plate is 2 degrees. Cut it about 1/8" bigger than the engine rails put it under the engine rails. It doesn't matter if you use the thick part or the thin area - It's still 2 degrees.

Scott is correct. 2=2 no matter what. But, I'd use the thinner part to keep the engine as centered as possible. It won't make a big difference, but that's my $0.02 for the record.
