OK a little update. This is the strongest plane!! I was in a hover about 10 feet up when a gust of wind came. I lost the orientation and got behind the plane. I nosed in from ten feet up staight in. I broke both blades off the 13x4 APC prop and blew the back out of the spinner....damage to plane....NONE!!!! thats right, put a new prop on and took her back up. This is one awesome freaking plane and strong as heck!!!

got the first flight on mine,ys 63,.would not change a thing, CG at 6" from leading edge. this plane will chew it's own tail off, and it flies as loose as a two dollar ho on nickle beer night. you guy's are going to luv it!

I aint got any vids but I can post a few thoughts and pics.
I''m amazed there''s not more fuss about this plane really, it''s an absolute bargain. I remember the old EF 540Ts being about £130 when they came out, and I picked the Yak up for just £80! This is probably gonna sound like I''m an employee of EF but I was starting to get bored of flying, but now I''ve got right back into it. I''d built a Mojo but it never flew as well as I''d hoped, probably cos my dumb fingers made it. My old faithful Burrito still flies amazingly well but I''d felt like I''d reached it''s limits, plus it''s kinda falling apart now from years of abuse.
It goes together pretty well, everything fits as you''d expect, the notch in the horiz stab so it plugs into the fuse is nice so you can get it centred easily. That part of the tail could maybe do with some more strengthening, My horiz stab seem to wobble slightly, although its firmly glued in, the sides of the fuse are flexing with it. I used all the standard bits that came with it, the ball joint connectors are really REALLY tight though and had to be drilled out a bit to screw the rods in. The undercarriage is also a bit soft, on my second landing I brought it in quite nose high, touched the tail wheel then dropped the main wheels in and it bent the legs so much the prop hit the floor, and it didn''t go in with a lot of force either. It''s better than ripped out the mounting plate though I guess. I might try and get some carbon legs.
I''ve got a Saito .82 with a 14x4w up front and the power is immense. 2 washers for sidethrust and it will climb straight up hands-off. The engines mounted in the middle of the rails, with the battery in the front of the wing. I''ve put a little bit of lead on the tail when I was testing it and it seems to balance nicely for my tastes, about halfway through the tank it flies inverted hands-off. I''ll remove the lead and bring the battery back a bit.
Flying: It''s become my favourate plane. I haven''t had any other plane that matches my own style of flying so well. It can do big slow elegant aerobatics when I want, and then some prop-hanging down low stuff when I feel like that. I haven''t had a plane that could do both so well before. It doesn''t hover quite as easily as my Burrito, but then that is too busy trying to chew it''s own tail off to do as nice straight line stuff. It feels really light and effortless on the controls and confidence inspiring. I''m still getting to know it really, but it feels already that the plane is far more capable than I am, so there''s lots to learn again. I''ve had a few flights now where I''ve ignored the timer cos I''ve been having so much fun, and then ran out of fuel taxiing back off the field.
This is a first for me but I''ve ordered another one as a spare for if/when I smash this one with all the stuff I''m trying out.
There''s a few things I want to learn though. In Matchless''s original prototype vids, he does this awesome snap right after take off, how do you do this? Also, he does what I can only describe as a very tight outside half-loop. From straight and level, a tap of up elevator, then loads of down and the tail kinda spins around the wing, so it''s almost flying backwards - I want to know how to do this!
Mine is done flying tomorrow....os 70 with hitec 5645 all around. Because of extra weight of servos was able to move engine to the front of engine mount, an add a bigger tank.
