Well I'M not going to be getting the 1/6 Hummer I thought I bought on ebay, after waiting 22 days I just canceled the $180.00 dollar charge that was through paypal to my american express card. All the cheap stuff I bought was sent out and received very fast, and the more expensive stuff is what I'm having trouble with.I have another item (1/6 stuart tank) that is also got me wondering what is going on.Have paid this clown and he will not answer my inquirey as to the statis of the sale,no reply if he has shipped it.You just can't trust people this day and age,the world is full of scammer's.That is one advantage to using a credit card to buy with,it does offer some protection for the buyer.I'm know getting a little turned off about trying to buy off ebay.

THIS IS AN-UPDATE------UPDATED Thursday April -10-2008------------------------

Well I did get my 1/6 HUMMER-----After a lot of hassel it did show up at the post office--I did get hold of the seller and I stoped the charge back from my credit card company, and canceled my disspute through paypal. The seller appologized for being rude and we burried the hatchet so to speak.I realy did want this Hummer and it arrived in good condition, however I have not tested it out yet.But outside appearence is great,a few small minor scratches is all I could see.I will post some pictures below----

ya i have had to do that on ebay before. but i ended up getting bit kinda. was for a cheep painting "zippo" style lighter. was 4 bucks and 5 shipping from china. well month and a half goes by so i disputed it etc. guy didn't have a problem and i got my 9-10 bucks back.. wooohoo. but then a month later it finally arrived. then i felt bad because i didn't have his contact info anymore. I figured out that the 10 bucks usd was like 50 or better for him.

Well I finally got my 1/6 HUMMER,through some problems addressed above.I'm glad I decided to take possession of it from the post office instead of letting them return it.It arrived in good condition with just a few minor scratches. It for sure was a new one still in the box. This hummers are big and look very strong and well built.I'm chargging the battery and will do some running tests later on today. If the running tests work out OK I will be very happy with this new addition to my collection. Will be posting pictures of it a little later.-------------BIGMIG

Thanks Stuff,

Going to post a few pictures of the new arrivals---(1) 1/6 HUMMER by 21St.Century and (1) 1/6 HUMMER by Heilang. The Heiland is the same manufacturer that makes the cheapie Panzer tanks with the bad tracks and controls.Don't know how good this Hummer from them will be but I have a lot of spare parts for these to keep it running. Will up-date on this one latter.

The 1/6 Hummer from 21 St.Centuary has me charged up over this big guy.Still charging the Battery for it but it will get tested out tonight for sure. The gun is a little HOAKY looking and will most likely leave it off,but the Hummer itself is fantastic looking and from first general look is very well made.If it runs like it looks I'll be very, very, Happy with it.My big 1/6 scale stuff will get used a lot this summer(if we ever get a summer,we have had a lot of rain here).Pictures to follow and comments latter---BIGMIG

BEFORE you drive it use a small flat head and pop the center caps off the wheels. This will get you access to the nut holding the wheel to the axel. Then remove the 3 screws on the backside of the hubs. this will seperate the rim. Once that is apart you can run the tire under some hot water to allow it to stretch. Remove the nasty hard plastic insert from the tire. Doing this will save your steering servo alot of shock from bumps that could otherwise snap the spline on teh servo. When you go to put the wheel back on just run a bead of super glue around the rim half before you installe it. This will help prevent tire slip. I have run mine on this and have not had my steering arm pop at all.

No problem. The ride will also be less bouncy too. ANd youll get better traction on softer ground.

You know never in my wildest dreams when I bought my first tank would I ever had any Idea how addicting this hobby could be.
I have one hell of a collection now,and I still have one more 1/6 tank on the way and 3 parts tanks. This for sure is going to be it for a while,I could open up a hobby shop with the supply I now have.My total on hand is now ( 33 tanks and other military vehicles of all scales from just under 1/24 to 1/6 scales)and still (4) on the way. This don't include some I gave to my son and all the one's I ordered
for other family member's.I DON'T think I need anymore at this point( MUST TELL MYSELF NO MORE TANKS). And I have been watching a couple of 1/9 scale tanks---NO---NO---NO.Had to quit looking at them,it was too tempting.

P.S. DON'T BUY THAT FIRST TANK----YOU'LL BE HOOKED----------

Wow im glad i found this thread...been a member here for a while but not posted much. I purchased the M5 Stewart back in 04/05 from Walmart and really enjoyed the tank...The battery gave out a couple of years ago i guess due to my lack of charging it regularly. Im looking to get it back out of its packaging and driving it around with my son now he is going on 6 and can enjoy the tank with me. Ive been on the hunt for a replacement battery but dont know if the one ive found will work...its at tower hobbies for $20 and is the Hobbico TorqMaster LC 12V 7Amp Battery. It looks just like the original or very close and seems to have similar specs...just wanted to see what you guys thought and see if this would work or if there was a better less expensive battery to purchase. Thanks, Jeff

Glad to hear you still have your Stuart,I think they are great tanks. And your son sounds like he is getting old enought for you to have some fun with him. That battery sounds like the one that was mentioned to me here on the forum as a good replacment battery for your tank.LeoA26Owner and Dap will most likley comment on that for you, they are 2 of the guys right off hand that have the 1/6 scale stuff.Glad to see you back in this area of the forum's. BIGMIG

P.S. Forgot Pattoncommander,he has some of this bigger stuff also.
