none of that crap really matters anyway.

Has anyone actually seen this RB Innovations supercharger? It looks pretty slick, but they have no factual data to back-up the claims (none that I saw, anyway).

I would love to see a dyno pull with and without that thing.

I was thinking more along the lines of a screw-type (think Whipple) supercharger. It would be a lot of machine work, but not terribly difficult to design. We have all the info we could ever need for doing the air demand calculations on an RC engine.

well i appreciate your reply but again ill have to say ....road racing is for europeans.

and again i have to say i never said my bird can do anything except run12-13 factory.
i did not buy my car to fit a car seat in the back or to drive around a lot of curves at high speeds. i didnt buy it to become part of a touring car circuit.
i bought it to go from red light to red light on my way to work.

maybe your into that kind of racing you mentioned, but im not. im also not into many imports. ( i did look at the mid 90 supras - i like those)
i guess your polly more into f1 racing too ...me im into drag racing.
again apples and oranges.

this is why in my first reply i said i dont reply cause it just causes heated debates.

oh yeah and whats the deal with your talk about it being the fastest full production car but not the fastest at anything but going around a track?
is that what you meant by your second post?

i think what packfan is saying is, who cares bout euro racing, we are in america, all that matters here with imports are the 1/4 times. I dont care about how fast I can get around a track personally, i didnt when i owned my car, but I did care if i could beat somebody in a drag... thats just how it is hear, its AMERICAN CULTURE, we arent in europe buddy. (not trying to sound rude, ppl seem to think i come off rude jus cuz i dont fill my statements with fluff)
So, let me get this straight. You are suggesting that any sort of racing other than drag racing is european. Right. Internationally (meaning NOT JUST EUROPE) soccer is the most popular sport, followed closely by Formula 1. Thats not europe, thats everywhere but here.

Let me address your second statement. You claim that American Culture is limited to drag racing. Then by that logic, Indy Racing League teams, CART teams, American Le Mans teams, and even NASCAR teams are not participating in an American Motorsport. So Dale Earnhart was unamerican then because he didn't race in a straight line? Go figure.

Oh, and people think you come off as being rude because you lack tact. Phrases like "we aren't in euope buddy" simply ARE rude and adversarial. How do you expect people to take things like that?

yah i was wondering that too, its absolutely not the fastest thats for sure, because fastest to most ppl means top speed or 1/4 mile times... and 12-13 stock may be slightly impressive, but nothing to brag about.

Hey, I agree totally. Its very definitely apples and oranges, like comparing a 1/8th 4wd buggy to an RC12L3.

I'm into just about any kind of racing. If people were racing nothing but little red wagons down a grass hill, I'd think it was worth seeing.

As far as the fastest production deal, I'm saying that it was fastest around touring circuit tracks, but not the fastest as far as top speed or 1/4 mile.

What year/model firebird do you have?

apparently I'm not the only 1 debating your statements about that car supposably being the fastest. I'm sorry but i wouldnt pay 2x as much for a car jus to make it street lgeal, thats just stupid. 99.9% of the country does not race street or european style tracks. 95% of the country probably doesnt even care about european racing affairs. Again your comparing apples and oranges as you would say, because NASCAR is totally different than production model racing. As I said, we arent in europe, get over it and if you cant handle my statements grow up a bit. THere is nothing wrong with them, jus blunt facts. Sorry if the truth hits ya harder than others, but thats what school teaches you to handle. And by the way you talk I know you've been through it, you speak very well. Again, jus saying, not trying to be rude, but if you percieve it that way its your buisness.

You waste an awful lot of energy trying to be right.

BTW, I never said I was offended. You brought up what "people think"

well there was the late 80s Turbo Trans Am... That was a FAST car. It was T/A with the Grand National Powerplant

I like those 4th generation F-Bodies though, nice car man.

The MKIV Supra (thats the one yer talking about) is definitely sick, but they are still in the high $20k range, some still in the $30K. They are the closest thing to a true muscle car any japanese company has ever built (high hp, rwd, tire-smoking fun).

Anyway, night guys.

bah. I will take that little punk sushi wagon with my pickup truck.

pick a road course. 50 laps. 8 4x8 sheets of 3/4" MDF in the back. first one to haul the wood wins.

I never liked the "production car" racing as its more about who bought the fasest car, not who can drive it the best.

that why I like stuff like the IROC series. grab a bunch of the top drivers from all over (nascar, bush racing, dirt tracks, indy, etc) dump them into a bunch of pre prepared identical cars and let them loose on a track.

no mechanical advantage, no money advantage, no setup secrets.
its all about who can cross that finish line first.

I would love to see something like that in RC. get a bunch of out of the box cars that have all been set up the same, that way it stops being a upgrade race and turns into a drivers race.

As far as "smoking" a beefed up mustang after burning out for 5 seconds and then only using half throttle, keep dreaming. Better break out the pixie dust to do something like that that on a 5000 dollar motor. Lets try to keep it believable...Jon
no i dont mean two mufflers, he has two catalitic converters. (one for each muffler, since the car has true dual exhaust.
