diggs_74 -> RE: Please Post Phoenix News (2/22/2008 7:12:32 PM)

Just talked with someone down there and they said it was kind of misty/light rain but people were still flying.. That's all I know other than I wish I was down there instead of at my desk at work. [8|]

daven -> RE: Please Post Phoenix News (2/22/2008 10:27:54 PM)

Rained most of the afternoon, halted flying and probably put a damper on the car races.

daven -> RE: Please Post Phoenix News (2/26/2008 8:21:57 PM)

Great pics.

Would love to see this one going with twin nelsons, and who is making the wild turkey these days?

oddy -> RE: Please Post Phoenix News (2/26/2008 8:38:29 PM)

Daven

This Turkey as well as many others were from Agustin de Alba, Mexican Pylon Racer who pased away some months ago and he has a lot of Wild Turkeys wich were sold to pylon racers in México.

Who owns the twin???

Regards.
Víctor.

daven -> RE: Please Post Phoenix News (2/26/2008 8:49:04 PM)

Ahh,

The old stash of Turkeys are out. So those are the ones Norm Johnson built, primarily of carbon fiber?

Gotcha, I was hoping someone was making them now.

garys -> RE: Please Post Phoenix News (2/26/2008 9:27:14 PM)

Mike DelPonte owns the twin. It was built about 10 to 12 years ago, but has never been flown.

oddy -> RE: Please Post Phoenix News (2/26/2008 9:33:01 PM)

You´re right, these are Norm Jhonson´s Turkeys with foam core wings covered in layers of carbon fiber.

I´ve had the opportunity to watch several turkeys but all of them with the SS Nelson, and they were quit impressive and very stable flying...........Wonder how they will perform with the new LS Q40 engines.

Victor.

daven -> RE: Please Post Phoenix News (2/26/2008 9:33:40 PM)

One of the things I like about this sport is that the names at the top keep changing. Congrats to the winer. I,m sure it could of been and will be someone ells next time.[;)]
