I just saw a pick of a A123 brick pack, so that means 6-cell NiMH sized bricks should be hitting suppliers soon!!!

Now if they just make 4-cell NiMH sized bricks me and my 1:12 and oval cars would be happy.

I believe trail was saying that 123 is releasing a brick cell. Your link cannot supply that.

Many call a 4cell pack with two cell side by side and two stacks high a brick but who knows.

A two cells side by side and X cells long is often called a shotgun but that does not mean it fires shotgun shell., it just happens to be the smae configuration as a side by side double barrel shot gun or even an over under shotgun if you stand the battery on edge.

These packs look like the LiPO hardcased bricks the size of a 6-cell NiMH pack. That is big news for these reasons:

It implies that A123 is now making "soft" cells
It means batteries are now a drop-in replacement for most 1:10 racers that use 6-cells or LiPO brick packs
It also means A123 knows in order to compete with the LiPO market they need prices to compete too. Look for packs around $65 ~ 80
