ORIGINAL: dirtybird There is only one tube in my kit. There is another 1" hole in the wing root but no tube in it. I wonder if I am missing something. The wing is bolted on with two 4mm bolts in the center of the wing. That will help in compression but not much help in tension. Has anyone flown this airplane? If there are two plastic ( or fiberglass ) retainer tubes running through the fuselage, then there should be two wing tubes too. If the hole is there, you can always opt for installing a second wing tube that may fit... However you'll need to check the wing receptacle itself, to see if the hole is set up so that any stress is distributed along the formers. If the tube ends up hanging out there by itself, so to speak it will have no effect. Try to get the wing root flat against the fuse. BTW: I have a plane who HAD a similiar Extra 330L, the .60 version. He brought it out to the field, and had me maiden it. He THOUGHT he had the C.G. right and when we checked it looked ok. I got the plane up but it was almost impossible to control as it wanted to nose down hard. It went into an extremely fast full power dive and one of the wings ripped off as I tried to bring it up right before it hit the ground. Later we found that one of the elevators had ripped off, due to poor build on his part, causing the initial problem. In turn the wing ripped off because of the enormous forces. The wing tube was un-bent. The wing flew off pretty much in-tact, but what gave were the wing hold-down bolts.
