I am using Sorex tires 26mm, rubber....
When i get home, i am gonna run it with my 3 cell 7.4 lipo.....

well, I'm not gonna get my '05 until at least Thursday. What's better is that I wouln't be getting my armid belts until August. grrrrr.

I guess I can just re-read the instructions for the 12th time....

I'm at the step to start building the shocks. Apart from a few hicupps and screw-swapping, it's been an interesting build. Its neat to see your work come together in the end when things start falling together.

Man, this drivetrain is SMOOTH!! Woah....

It's 99.8% done. I have yet to get the grub screw to stay secured to the motor shaft without falling off, and I haven't painted the body.

I did get to drive it though. Since this is my first decent touring car ever, I might just be restating old stuff. I couldn't believe how tight this thing turns, how fast it accelerates, and how well it keeps the rear end planted unless you really get on the gas.

After building it, I have only a couple of gripes with it. I don't like how the hexes on the axles are just held there by the wheel, and how the pin slides out of the axle. I also didn't like that it weighs at least as much as my Evader did, or maybe just a little more. That doesn't seem to affect performance, and I guess the extra weight means it's more durable.

Overall, I'm VERY satisfied with how this kit went together. I have to admit I was just a little skeptical when buying a Tamiya for the first time (scared of brands I'm not used to) but I will be buying from them again if I see the need to expand my collection.

get yourself some aluminium hex's, the ones which screw on, they will not come off

oh cool. I tried drifting with the old drifting tires my dad bought for an old toys-r-us car. Holy moley its loads of fun. it's too easy to control, but it's so much fun to sling it into a turn and nail the gas.

but I'll be sticking to going straight with traction. I haven't been able to nail the gas 100% yet. Driveway's not big enough.

umm yeA its a tad heavy but u know what.........durability is key. u see im a basher not a racer and I can say that this car is tuff. I mean really tuff. I managed to mis-judge a curb doin about 25mph and my TA05 launched through the air about 3 feeet high and landed 20 feet far and rolled about 3 times and kept goin. I did that twice. NOT proud of my driving skill
