I found a couple videos from rcuniverse.com, the covering and hinge tutorials. I was wondering if there are any others? I find them VERY informative and since I am having to go at all this alone right now... very invaluable! Also, if there is any good websites that show step-by-step with lots of pictures various aspects of a build? Lastly, if anyone could recommend any good books to get on general building techniques, I would greatly appreciate it! I am going to be compiling as much information as I can for my own reference.

This website and the people in these forums have made me feel comfortable knowing that there is always someone there to help with any questions I have! Thanks very much!

sscherin beat me to the suggestion. www.airfieldmodels.com is one of the best, uh, no, www.airfieldmodels.com IS the best website for comprehensive, well organized information on building online.

Greybucket, Look at Aero-Works Web Site and download some instruction Manuals or Read Them for Like the New Yak-54QB 90 to 120 Size Plane. I've been building R/C Airplanes only 2 years and built over 20 so far. I learned More reading and Building My Aero-Works Yak 54 Quick Build that I'm redueing many of My Existing Planes to Add things I learned from Building Aeroworks YAK-54 Quick Build. Added improvements to Many of My Other Planes and especially My 67" Carl Goldberg YAK-54 I'm Now Redueing before Even Break In Engine and Fly it for it's Maiden Flight. Yes I Have 72" and 67" Wing Span Pair YAK's. I love YAK's and EXTRA's for How they Fly. Have 3 Different Size Extras all by different Manufacturers. The Aero-Works Bar any I've Seen Color Photos, Instructions Etc Are the BEST and MOST COMPLETE I've seen. YOU WILL LEARN A TON JUST READING THEM AND LOOKING AT ALL PHOTOS!!! Aero-Works has 60 Size Edge Less $190 That a Plane as You get able handle that Level You'll want to Get. Funstar by Phoenix is BEST 46 Size Plane and New Hangar 9 Frenzy 100 is another Great Glow Plane. I Statred with Electrics and Then Sold All My Electrics to fly glow powered. I'm Retired ARMY Aviation and Fully Retired Disabled Veteran. So I Fly Fitting Down and these Planes Keep ME Busy. I'm always Reading Hundreds of Forum suggestions and Read All Magazine and Books on R/C Building. WHHeeeewhhh...... When I read rich's post above I almost had a heart attack. Built 20 planes in two years!!!!! When I read and saw they are ARF's I felt better. I haven't gotten much done the past few years hobby wise and its killing me!!....lol.

In addition to the previously mentioned suggestions.....actually building a few simple kits (not ARF's) from any of the few left from the big name companys would be a big plus. That would give you an idea of the basic structure that should be under the covering of the ARF's. Most building instuctions/manuals from the "big names" are very good.
