fercho_2006 -> Can someone tell me if this is possible? (2/23/2008 1:28:22 AM)

Hi Mark,

I decided to post this here rather than asking you via email because I think that maybe there is someone with the same question as mine.
If you recall I've got a V-Balancer and a Orbit Pocket lader charger. I want to know if I can charge 4 batteries at the same time using two V-Balancers. Right now I can charge two 3S batteries in a 6S configuration using an adapter (shown in the picture below). Is there a way to connect two V-Balancers to my charger? If so, how can I do it?

Thanks in advance.

Fercho.

Hi Fercho,

On the FlightPower web site (www.flightpower.co.uk) they show how to connect two V-Balancers to a single charger. This information can be found by following the product link and select "Balancers & Leads". I use the same set up to charge two 5s packs in a 10S configuration.

With regards to charging 4 packs at the same time, I suggest that you send an email to the folks at FlightPower USA (info@flightpowerusa.com) as I'm sure they will be able to answer this question for you.

Thanks Mark! By the way, which charger do you reccomend? Because I'm quite stuck now with the Orbit Pocket Lader.. It can only charge up to 5S.

Hi Fercho,

I personally use the Orbit Microlader as it does up to 11 cells which allows me to charge my two FlightPower 5s1p 5350 mah packs in series using the twin V-Balancers in series. The only draw back is that the highest charge rate is 4.5 amps with the charger in a 10s configuration.

I probably will be changing to the Orbit Microlader Pro version which has a higher cell / amp capability.
