I'm sorry to hear what happened with your plane Hopefully you can repair it soon.

How was the landing speed ? Did you noticed any estrange behaviors ?

Did you have to deal with a lot of problems when building your kit ? I mean..... problems with the doors not closing properly, reinforcing the fuse, etc.

Status: offline 		Hi. Due to the fact that Im using a P-70 and have a bit of power to spare the residual thrust is a bit high and the plane even starts rolling on the ground when in idle. Having said this I must say first: Ground behaviour is very good as distance between wheels is wide enough, take off roll is quite straight maybe just a small touch here or there depending on the wind direction, take offs I have done with out flaps, the model rotates smoothly, no sudden jums from the ground (you can always take off like that but I like my flight more scale like), when flight attitude is reached and you throttle back for cruise speed I settle for a bit less than half power (around 45% power), when preparing for landing I extend retracts in fron of me to make sure doors and wheels are out and when in front of me going with the wind I cut throttle do idle now with full flaps having enough speed for right turn and final. It does come in a bit speedy with the P-70. With a P-60 it should come in a little slower. So far the landings I have seen are a little over slow speed. This means it will be good to have a bit of runway and a good set of breakes.

Status: offline 		Forgot to mention, regarding the wheel doors If you want to go with them, take your time and sand slowly, you will have to reduce and grind the wheel doors from the inside as well as the wheel wells. Move the fin structure and note if it is solid. If you notice some wiggling, you might consider to pour in some adhesive to re inforce it. MIne did not need it but another kit build at my club did not have the inner wodd structure glued correctly to the fin fiber glass. I can get you some more detaled pictures if you let me know in what you are intested in.

Saludos desde Chile.......

I'm planning to buy an ARF Pro version and I was wondering if from the factory the wheel doors would be correctly installed. For turbine choice, I'm thinking about the Jet Central Rabbit http://www.jetcentral.com.mx/english/rabbit.html

From the pictures I have seen, it looks like a good idea to reinforce the inside of the wings with some CF. Do you think it is necessary to make it stronger and able to handle some stronger landings ?

No need to reinforce the wings. After I saw the inners from mine they are quite strong. Im no t sure if Jet Legend does the ARF Pro but if they do it will save you some time. I would prefer just to adjust an existing set up rather than having to do the whole installation myself. You will have power to spare with the Rabbit.

Status: offline 		Yes I have seen it. I know about Global Jet Club. They do a great job. They take a little extra care and do some aditional reinforcements but the arf kit in my opinion is quite good.

One of the reasons why I'm looking at a CT-114, is that because of the size it is very easy to transport. I just came back from an event in Argentina, and sending my Tucano Turboprop and MB-339 was a nightmare because of the size of them. I want a plane that I can easily disassemble and send by cargo (like what they do with the BVM Bandits.....). I imagine I can do that with this plane with some little modifications.

You were mentioning that the brakes in this plane are not the greatest...... any upgrades available ? The runway in my club is 150 meters long.

Status: offline 		Regarding the breakes I might have to change the valve Im using but overall they are fine. THis kit although a little bulky is easy to transport as you say. I made a contraption with PVC tubing covered with insulation foam and it works great. Not only to transport the fuse and wings, but also to use it assemble the plane before flight.

Would you mind sending me a picture or two from your Tucano and MB-339?.

In all my planes I'm using the Aipower EVSD-5U-PRO valve with great results. I don't know if it would be too big for this plane..... I will have to investigate.

The Tucano is the Composite Arf kit and is equipped with a Jetcentral turboprop. We did modify the fuel tanks so know I can fly 8:30 - 9:00 minutes and have plenty of fuel to spare in case I have some missed approaches. In one of the pictures you can see a central square tank. That one didn't came with the kit and it was added. I think that with all that fuel, I could fly 13:00 minutes without a problem.

The other big reason for buying it, is that my Canadian wife is already giving me a hard time for the amount of planes I have and the only times when she wasn't pissed, was when I bought a Skymaster Viperjet in the Canadian scheme. This time I will use the same strategy...........

Status: offline 		Believe me when I tell you that I understand you perfectly. Now which would you consider harder: have her complain for buying all these planes or for going out flying on Sundays?. Mine has been in the shop only 3 times in 2 years, only once has told me to keep in mind not to exceed in spending when there are other necesities however when it comes to flying, Im the bigget, selfish abuser on this earth while leaving her alone with the 3 kids (16-9 & 3) and Im having all the fun. etc etc etc. Can you belive this?.

I'm still sleeping in the other bedroom for leaving her alone this past weekend with the kids (8 & 6) to go to Argentina

During summer time, I try to go flying every Thursday afternoon and after flying, we will barbecue with other members of the club. No mayor problem here. Different situation when I disappeared on Saturdays......

I'm trying to teach my 8 year old to fly now to use him as a excuse [>:]

Status: offline 		Recommended servos ? In my big ones I use JR8611a and Futaba 9157. I imagine the ones needed for this airplane are smaller, but I would still like to use a high quality servo.
