exceed and redcat are made by the same company, redcat has a bigger engine and some other upgraded parts like the exhaust and engine replacement program as mentioned before the engine replacement program lets you send the engine back and get a new one %50 off the original price. i like both brands, i just ordered a exceed razor. but as you have probably read up there it looks like they have some shipping issues so i hope they had that worked out before i ordered my buggy.

you will need a starter kit but if you have a hobby shop close by i would suggest buying fuel there. starter kits and hump packs i have found to be cheaper online if you can find a site with free shipping. or when you order whichever truck you are going to get order it with them if the shipping doesnt change cause of the weight and items. hump packs are not really nessicary for beginners. i use regular batteries also and dont have any problems.

also clermont motor sports is a good company to get stuff from, i have ordered from him a couple times and get my stuff in about 3 days. if you are looking for a certain part just email him the part number and he will check his stock cause he doesnt always have everything listed on his site.

you will need a #8 plug, some 20% nitro fuel...dont worry about the battery pack right now. just use AA's.

go to towerhobbies.com or ask clermont for a extra glow plug.

ok i dont have a clue about the battery pack. for glow plug you want an os#8. for fuel i dont think the name brand realy matters, every one perfers diferent brands. just go with the brand your hobby store carries. just make sure its around 20% nitro and 12% oil . who are you getting the avalanche from??? they should no what battery pack for you to get. make sure it comes with a charger tho.

get some sidewinder fuel it works good and it is a decent price. i have heard that people with the sh engine have problems with traxxas fuel cause there is to much oil so if you get the avalance stay away from that stuff. all if it is pretty expensive compared to regular gas. i use mccoy #8 plug. that is what my hobby guy gives me so i dont argue with him, i figure if the thing is still selling for that long it must be a ok plug.

ok well online, its best to get it buy the quart thats all i know about it. personaly dont bother looking for a certain plug. a os#8 is very common and works welll. were are you ordering for rc from????????? if its from clermont im not sure if they sell fuel but get everything from the same guy you get your rc. it saves on shipping and saves time. also you will probebly get a better deal.

yes it will come with a battery holder for 4AA baterys. you can upgrade to a hump pack latter. dose r/c planet ship fuel?? . when you bro orders fuel, put it all in one order and it will save $$$. like webbl said dont buy traxes fuel. any name brand will do you fine as long as its around 20% nitro and 12% oil.

you dont NEED a fail safe but it is probably good to have. i dont have one, you just have to be careful, when you see signs of your battery dieing hurry and change the batteries.
