So as not to confuse anyone that link you provided is for the other skin design. Those were not sent to ROAR for approval. The New 5000 SS pack has been sent in for approval.

Yeah, I know. I chose that link as I like that MaxAmps offers the discussion board opportunity for direct feedback from the field.

We're currently running a pair of 7.4 / 4000 (MaxAmps) in series to power our Jammin X1CR brushless conversion. With our new Hyperion charger and balancer on the way, we were discussing our battery options for the 1/10 scale buggy racing this summer.

These batteries are coming out just in time for our upgrade decisions.

I read the specs. What do you mean when you say "NEW 5000 SS 7.4V WEIGHTED "SANCTION SPEC" PACK"?

Is this pack specific to some type of racing like on-road or something like that?

Right there, it's been designed to meet ROAR's new Li-Po spec's Hence the Name "SS or sanction spec". It's a racing only pack. On Road or Off Road it doesn't matter.
