Hi guys, i have a 30% 260 with a DA-50, first flew the plane last weekend and think its fantastic, i have one issue with it and wondered if anyone else is having the same problem,it seems that my DA is not happy in the cowl, the carburation seems to change very slightly at the bottom end? like the cowl is pressurising??

Any help would be great

Cheers
Simon

Hmm, Is the carb able to breath, or is it just up against the fire wall? I'd try giving DA a call and seeing what they have to say since that does not usually happen.

I am running the da in mine with no problems like that however I was having the exact same problem you described with it last year and sent it back to da because to put it nicely it ran like sh@t. I could not ask for a better running engine now.

Its all sorted thanks chaps it turned out to be the fault of the canister holder in the pipe tunnel.....it was blocking the whole tunnel and trapping all the hot air.....the carb on the da sits directly above the tunnel entrance, and was sucking hot air ....i noticed a vast difference in needle settings when the aircraft was inverted, when the aircraft was upside down the hot air was escaping, and the engine was drawing on cold air ,thus changing the mixture...problem solved

Cheers
Simon
