I would really appreciate some input on where a good balance point is at the fuselage on the CMP Extra 300s 140 size. I have done searches and found all kinds of info, but nothing on a balance point at the fuselage.

"Best" C.G. is just an estimate on any plane.

As such you are fairly safe at starting out about 25% of the wing chord from the LE at the root and flying it this way.

You can then safely move it back to 30% or even 33%. Once you start getting beyond 35% you could run into problems.

On-line c.g. calculators can also help you.

As opjose says but they have a pretty wide acceptability range. Start as suggested, then take it back - gradually.
