Electric conversion....
could use a carbon hacker F5D motor, stuff the fuse with lipos and have yet another flying welder

or could convert to a hot .15

RR, good looking planes! The penetrator wing looks like solid sheet?

CP - Penetrator wing is sheeted foam - a fairly thin section, however

Actually both planes have sheeted foam core wings, a very thin section on the Micro Estrelita

John makes a very nice light fuse, with good lines.

It must be pretty light, it looks like there is wood inlaid along the aft end of the fuselage. The hardest part about working tiny molds is keeping track of how much cloth you've got laid down every where.
The inlaid C/F in the wing is pre-preg strips? Is this the only re-enforcement? I'm pretty sure I see tiered layers of C/F in a groove you sanded into the balsa skin? The plane does look big enough to haul a .15.

CP, there is no spar so I laid up three decreasing length strips of carbon ribbon on top of the wood sheeting.

gabe, I believe John does runs of these now and again.

LoL, the two planes on the right were built by my Dad's Boss! I saw it fly at Mid-America E-Fly a few years ago, Ken is a great builder... one of those guys who has a spotless workshop (bleeuch!) and builds colorful, characaturish airplanes.

Can't wait for warmer weather... Been relegated back to electrics for the last few months. Wanna start carving props for the little guy!

Lookin' gorgeous! A lot of detail packed into tiny packages. The .15 powered plane looks like it will really move!
