ORIGINAL: COVERTDC3 I have a friend who would like to learn how to fly helicopters. I suggested an electric for indoors to learn the basics. Not sure which is the best, Blade CP, HouseFly, etc. Which heli would be the best without spending a fortune to learn the basics of flight? Co-axial will teach you very little about flying a "normal" heli. I'm a beginner (2 months of "flying), and like Navy_1, I own a Falcon 40 FP. It's a great entry level heli to teach you how to fly. The best part is when you crash, a FP is very cheap to fix. I've had friends who only fly a FP (beginners are well), but because if their stick time on the FP, where able to hover a buddies CP with very little effort (meaning what your learn transfers).
