i dont have a 3.3 in my rusty (yet) but heres how you keep your MIP cvd pins in place: LINK

oh and for gear ratios as others have said higher tooth clutch bell = more top end and lower tooth spur = more top end but...

20t cb/70t spur = 18t cb/72t spur

you will get the same top end with these totally different gears because the ratio is the same...

I just put a 3.3 in my rustler, ran great but couldnt really test the low end because the tires kept breaking lose before it would pull a wheelie. Anyways, the same thing happened to me, it just ate the stock 70t spur. And when I say ate I mean ANNIHILATED. There was melted plastic all over and there was almost no teeth left. I'm thinking about upgrading to a steel spur, but I think thats just gonna move the problem to inside the tranny.

If i'm not mistaken, most carbon fiber parts for the rusty 2.5 should fit if u have a 3.3 in it. I'm not sure though, I prefer to work with steel and aluminum rather than carbon fiber

you might be able to make some of the carbon fiber parts yourself. go online and order some 3/32 carbon fiber sheeting then take your old part and trace it out on the carbon after some cutting and fine tuning viola!! obiously this wont work for everything and if you have some experiance with composites you can make a solid carbon body too.
just a thaught

Just some important safety info on cutting Carbon Fibre. I work with this stuff in the aircraft maintenance industry. If you do this, make sure you are wearing a hepa filter respirator. Check this process out on the internet so you do not put your lungs in long term lethal harm. If you inhale any carbon fibre strands, they will be in your lungs FOREVER until they decide to flick the cancer switch.
