Status: offline 		I have just purchased my DA-50 for my Wild Hare Sukhoi 29%--50cc and while test fitting and measuring for engine placement, I figured that I need standoffs somewhere in the range of 4+ inches. Seems a bit long to me but I guess I just wanted to check before I go down that road.

Has anyone else here had experience with mounting the DA-50 in the Wild Hare Sukhoi 50cc and if so, how did you do it?

Any input is appreciated.

Dozens of people have done this. Use the 3" standoffs that should have come with your engine, then add 1/2" spacers behind it made of 1/2" plywood cut into 1" squares with a 1/4" hole in the center. That should get the prop in front of the cowl.

You can make the spacers thicker if you like to move the engine farther forward, this helps with balance also.

Status: offline 		another easy method is using 1" - 1.25" hole saw to cut them from whatever thickness stock.
