I was watching NHRA Qualifying this morning and there was a r/c blimp that was carrying an aeiral camera. They gave a name but I forget what it was and that it was 60' long.

Anyone else happen to catch it?

I didn't catch it, but there was a company that came to our balloon fiesta with R/C blimps about that size (see picture).

Goolgling, I did find blimpcam and Southern Balloon works

I'm watching the finals now and they said it was 14' in diameter. They showed the guy flying it. He was sitting in a swivel office chair taking it easy.

The blimp on ESPN is ours. It is 60ft long with a 14' diameter. We are going to be providing all of the areals for the NHRA this season. Here are some pics of the blimp. The camera on the blimp in the pictures is a FLIR system, but we used a CiniFlex camera for the ESPN job. I will post pictures from the event later.
