I have s Simjet 1200 on a PCM AV8R that i bought this last fall and am trying to get it prepped for some spring flying. (A little to much snow today here in Mich. :-(
Any how, when testing the failsafe by shutting off the transmitter the turbine continues to run at the same idle setting that it was at when i shut he transmitter off.
Any sugestions or comments??????????? Thanks Niteflyer.

niteflyer,

Have you setup your failsafe in your TX ? The old Aluminum block style ECU, FADEC -2002 D2, will not S/D the turbine with a loss of TX signal as you have discoverd otherwise.

Must set your failsafe to some neagative atv. -100 % or example.

Please advise.

Hi Kerry.......

Thanks for the response. I meet you at the toledo show last year, a nice chat. I have a SpyderJet F-16 with a SimJet 2300 on it (a little too much jet for me right now)
that i was getting some pointers from you for the initial fire..

Anyhow, your correct i have a ECU that is FADEC 2002-D2-R. The plane came with a JR radio, i've been flying with Futaba. Therefore i'm not as familular with it as i
probably should be. In failsafe mode the THRO position is set to -156, but it does say F.S. HOLD so maybe its going to the last good command, which in my case was the
idle position.

A good place for me to start will be the instruction manual for the radio to see if in fact i need to work with the setting in the Failsafe Mode.

Again THANKS, We'll be in touch........
