Lumpy454 -> Tower Power 4 Cycle Fuel use in 2 stroke? (2/25/2008 10:15:39 PM)

Hello,
I have a couple gallons of Tower Power 4 cycle fuel from Tower Hobbies that I have left over from an airplane I sold. Does anyone know the nitro and oil content of this fuel? Is it synthetic or castor or both? Can you use this fuel in a .26 2 stroke motor? Thanks!

It should be marked. They sell 10% and 15% now for fuel with nitro. They also sell FAI fuel with no nitro.

They do not have any 'four cycle' Tower Power fuels listed on the web site.

If the label on the bottle has a stock number you might be able to search for the info on their site.

If all else fails, see item number 4 on this page

Give them a call and they should be able to tell you everything about the fuel

Thank you everyone for the replies. Someone from tower finally returned my email and said it is 15% nitro and 18% oil content. This fuel should be fine for a .26 2 stroke in a buggy just for bashing shouldn't it? Thanks

should be great

I use the same fuel in my four strokes as I do in my two strokes

Excellent! Now I can bash without fear of blowing my motor due to using 4 stroke fuel in it! =) Appreciate the help guys.

I wish the companies that make fuel would just label it with the contents and get away from marketing hype. It's fine to claim "finest ingredients," "most consistent," "best ever," "champion approved," or other dribble I can ignore. That's expected in all labeling and advertising.

But, a label proclaiming "Four Stroke Fuel" tells me nothing.

I'd prefer to see a label with something like:
15% Nitro
3% Castor oil
15% Synthetic Oil
67% Methanol
With this on the label, and my engine's instruction manual, I can decide whether the fuel is suitable.

I'm with carrellh, but I would also like to see "percent by volume" or "percent by weight" on the label as well.

" How can we possibly tell the truth about anything we sell ? "[X(]

It would make all of us be the same.[:)]

What would we need a sales, marketing or advertising depts. for ?

1 girl after school, could run the company without any of us to slow her down.

I have used nothing but WildCat Premium and Premium Extra in my Saito, Enya, OS and Laser fourstrokes since 1991 and have never lost a bearing to wear or rust. I use the 5% Premium in the Laser and EnyaClick on Products, then "click here for specs and msds sheet.

PS Click "off" in upper right of home page to eliminate the absolutely awful music.
