Can anyone tell me the diference between 4 stroke an 2 stroke fuel. I have been told I can run 2 stroke methnol in my 91 surpass

The difference is often nothing more than a label. Do not be concerned with what the fuel is called. Be concerned with what is in the fuel, particularly the oil content.

OS recommends a fuel with minimum 18% oil. The majority of 'two stroke' fuels have 18 to 20 percent oil and are fine for your 91 Surpass.

There are some 'four stroke' fuels on the market that have low oil content, like 14%, and they are not recommended (by OS) for any OS engine.

If the label does not tell you how much oil is in the fuel, or if it's not listed somewhere, do not buy that fuel. There are plenty of brands that do tell you what you're getting.
