Status: offline 		i know in the manual it says to set thew cg from the wing root leading edge, how many mm's would it be from the wing tips.... BTW its a great lil plane, its so light compared to my other similar sized planes, and built well,....... the only couple of things i didnt like were the wheel pants and some of the hardware, but thats usually the way arf's are anyhow. Im done withe the plane and cant wait to maiden it, i just need to figure out to mount the deans whip antenna ohh yeah i goofed on the engine cut out hole in the cowling before i get flamed

powered by an os 61fx

hs 255mg mighty mini on throttle
2= hs 945mg's ailerons
hs5925mg rudder and elev.

Status: offline 		I guess I am sorta old school and still flip a plane like this upside down and balance it on my finger tips near the fusalage. When I first flew the plane I ballanced it at 4.25 inches back from the leading edge. It flew fine and was balanced there for my video. Since then I rebalanced it at 4 inches (closer to the 103 mm the manual calls for (103mm/25.4=4.05 in)). I think it is a little less snappy (read as scary) this way. But it still does the nice spins and tumbles. With the tappered wing, I am not sure what the balance point out at the wing tips would be. Good luck and I look forward to your flight report.

Status: offline 		well im back, i decided to go, sorry no video i went alone. It flew great!!! I wasnt how sure the wheels would hold up on the grass runway but they did ok. Its still somewhat nose heavy but even then the landing was kinda floaty. I did have one mishap, I neglected to give it a preflight inspection(didnt think it was neccessary, i finished it lastnight), and about three minutes into the flight i started getting brave and did some tumbles, snaps etc.... and i notice something got out of alignment, it kept wanted to roll to one side, then it went away, but i landed immediately and noticed the servo arm came off. Since it was supposed to be a quickie today, i didnt take any tools other that a pack of allen wrenches for the hatch, glow driver and fuel, in other words i took the bare essentials....... next time im taking the usual goodies, and be prepared for s**+ like this morning.

P.S. knifeegdes great!! if my thumbs remember correctly it pulls slightly toward the canopy......I feel very confident with this plane .... cant wait to take her up again


I noticed there is a servo slot in the fuselage for what could be a rudder servo, has any one put dual elev servos and pull pull on the extra? Its probably overkill, but i like knowing that both control surfaces are moving in sync under high stress maneuvers

has it been too windy? It flies great! Mine only needed a couple of beeps of up elevator, probably cuz its nose heavy.

Pulls to the canopy??? Mine pulls to the landing gear... Your nose heavy and had to input up elevator (to the canopy) to trim and I'm tail heavy and had to input down elevator (to the landing gear) to trim. Seems we need to find the middle ground on this bird's C/G.
