I've made some using just regular photo paper, cutting it out, and then fasting it to the plane with a round piece of clear monokote. Worked really well. Worst part was getting rid of the air bubbles.

places like Office Max or Office Depot sell decal paper that is self adhesive. It will stick to monokote.

I use Avery clear label. Ink jet printer, then I will cover it with another layer of the clear label paper, or in some cases, clear packing tape to protect it from the fuel. Has worked pretty good. Just cut it out, peel off the backing and place it where you want it. I have done so with a WWII era portrait of my mom for my current project, a Nitro Models, 52 inch P-38 which will be named, "Donna May", for my mom. Here is the sticker I made in place. I think I will hand paint the name. The names I have printed out seemed to look a little runny to me. Not exactly a pinup, but she is my mom after all!
