TimMT and myself are building a FG MT/Jeep 4x4. Our first pic but not the last. We do not have the 4x4 kit yet but are very soon at that point. So the thread will be updated weekly rather then daily Our trucks are driven often and only sand/dirt so if the kamitiro kit does not stand up we will let you know. If it does stand up you will see the videos of it eating up bajas more then it does in stock form.

Pic one. FG off road with frt end removed and rear diff locked is the only mod from stock at this point.

Do yourself a favor and put alot of red threadlock on the front and rear sprockets before you instal the kit. They don't come with any from the factory and that was the only problem I had with mine. The sprockets had a tendency to move, because they're on a threaded rod. The front sprocket was more of a problem than the rear. I threw some threadlock on, but it was after I used the truck a few times and it didn't hold very well. If you do it before you install the kit, you can clean it before you apply the threadlock. I had to drill a small hole in the shaft and install a body clip to keep the front sprocket from moving. After that, the truck was a beast. You will be very happy with the kit.

We are both excited since we are big bashers and climbers, esp with snow on the ground. Thanks for the tips about the threaded rod-maybe I will put an extra nut to lock against the gear you mensioned if there is room.

I wanted a kam kit also, but I am going to wait and see what the prices of the new FG 4x4 kit will be worth and if it is possible to convert a MT to install their kit.

I am curious to see what the kit will be like in the snow.

But the BIG question is does she know exactly how much you spent?

I told her it was $2G so then half of $500 seemed pretty OK. However I then got to take the whole family shopping today to make it up to her so it may as well have been $2G
Ordered from FGUniverse cuz they were the only ones I could find last night with stock for sale. May pick up another when I am in Germany myself later this spring...

This is perfect timeing guys. I just bought the Kamitiro kit from FGUniverse this week as well, should be here this comeing week I hope. Something I was wondering already is what is the tooth count on the kits spur gear. Could you check that for me in case I need to order the correct one. Anyone know will the ddm dominator pipe give enough room for the kit . Slap that kit in and get us some results already!
