This is more for the guys on the fence about getting into Club-40. Just got in my LA Racer, (thanks Don), and got it out of the box. I just wanted to say that for the price, this is a great airplane!!! Good hardware, the covering job is great, and delivered to my door, for $100.00, this is a great buy!!!
If anyone is interested, I'll post more or answer any questions, from a newbe point of view.

Hey Skull .... I am looking at the LA Racer and would like some input. I am also flying combat and thought this club 40 racing would be interesting to do also. I have not decided on which plane to get yet. I do like the looks of the LA.
Post those photos and send us that report.

The plane is very is easy to fly and put together. In fact, both the of the planes for club 40 are about the same for building. I really like the LA for all around flying. I have 8 people in my club flying the LA racer now. This plane will do most anything. In fact, many in my club are in love with this plane. It has brought back the fun in RC Flying!

It was a real simple build, no surprises at all, except the quality, first class!! For the cost this is a great plane, all the hardware is pretty good and I used it all, except the fuel tank, just because I put in a Bubble Jett. Took about 5 hours to put together, and CG was almost spot on just moved the battery to get it set. I haven't flown it yet, and it might be a couple weeks before I do, but I have seen Beam, and others fly/ race theirs, and they look good. I changed the colors a little bit for my own needs .

I like your colors Eric. It looks great! Too bad you have a weak engine on it! Hope you get better soon so you can run the pylons with us.
Hey Beam - if you have 8 people flying the LA Racer, you have enough for a good race! (If they are using 40 size engines) Set one up and let us know when and we will come and join you!
E-mail me if you need any help setting it up or need suggestions on a good date. chuckstt@gvtc.com

Hey thanks Chuck, seems ALL my planes have the bright red on them, its a color I can really see even if the plane gets far off. The green is just to be different,
As far as the engine, Chuck I'm an old Firefighter, and the first thing they teach is to have a back-up plan.
Thanks for the well wishes, I hope I'm not down to long, first thing I asked when they said the had to bolt my head back on was "Will I still be able to look up? Racing season is coming and I need to be ready."

What a joy to fly, that plane is a real surprise, and fast as stink too. Other than someone that HAS to go 200mph, this is the plane. The only bad thing I can say about this plane is that I waited to long to get one.
Chuck, are you sure I got the wrong engine on it???
See ya'll in a few days,

Well I'm out, had problems and had to stay in till today (Sunday). Hospitals are bad places man!! Gonna have to miss first couple of races with the C40 guys , BUT I will get better and I WILL make it out there!! Funny little side note, I clicked a pic of my LARacer on my cell, I got to spend the past week looking at that pic, Kinda gave me something to look forward to, for getting out. Plus I also have 2 Dr.'s and a male nurse that want intro flights when I get well.

The white and red are factory, the dayglow red and green are mine. Rossi 45, gotta love a Rossi , I got a GP Patriot I've been trying to get rid of for a year and a half. PM me with email address. As for airborne they have several different planes on their site, and sister site the wings maker I'm sure you'll find something there.
P.S. Love the Metallica thing too. 1988 ...and justice for all tour, Dallas. Us metal heads need to come out more and play
