I'm new to R/C skydiving, but I've been flying for years. I recently built my own chute and jumper. I bent a piece of spring wire into a shape that gets rubber banded onto the top wing of my dad's (I'm 45) electric duraplane. The part that sits on the wing is a square "U" shape, then theach end bends straight up from the wing for a couple of inches, then back for 3/4", then up again for 3/4". The jumper's upper arms then rest on the horizontal parts. His feet straddle the fuselage, just past the trailing edge of the wing. This has worked quite successfully for us. I fly the plane and have found that I have to make sure to keep the speed up by no climbing at too high a rate. If I do that, it does fine. To release the jumper, I do a roll. The only time I've had problems is when his chute opened just after take-off! [X(] It sent me straight into a giant snow bank. Fortunately, the snow was soft! Now, if I can just figure out how to get the chute to inflate, I'll be doing well. - Brad
