Jason that is a G model the cowls are wrong for my J model but thanks anyway i've seen it and it is beutiful. I'll stick with this one. How about two of these in it for power. To big these are 1/4 scale castings for a rolls royce merlin made hear in USA.

Really the one that Jason sent pictures of is an F5G. It was highly modified into a pylon racer in the 40's for owner JD Reed. later it was sold off to Lloyd Nolan and Lefty Gardner in the 60's and flew as White Lightning until wrecked in the early 2000's. Now owned by Red Bull's owner, and presently being flown in TX by Nelson Ezell.

Hi Graham.

Thanks for the info on the paint supplier. Just wondered, if I can get the paint from you, would you still sell in 1 litre buckets? Don't know exactly how much I need but I have never used that much on any model regardless of size... I would think for a 1/5 scale Mustang less than 250 ml would probably do especially as you seem to apply the Chrome in very thin coats.

Cheers, Benny.

Hi Benny,
Yep I got your text, and sorry you could not make yesterday, and I do hope your wife gets better.
Hopefully I will be going up to Tibenham on Friday for Phil G's meeting.

Yes, I still have Little buck, and I decided to take her to the Barkston Warbird meet for a bit of an airing!!!, I spent most of the day checking her all through and making sure everything was right as I have not flown here since last year.
Well I have got to say she performed very well indeed, the Zenoah's were truly singing away, it's just a shame the weather started to dull over as we were hoping to get some good shots with the sun glinting on her.
Here are a few pics that Nigel has sent over, cheers Nigel and yes I have stopped shaking!!!!

Cheers Graham B.

Hi Graham, Good to see you still have the p-38. I'm just about ready to take mine out for the first flights in a couple of weeks hopefully. Here's the two planes ready except for the mufflers i'm waiting for.

Dear All
I was at Barkston on Sunday and I saw Graham's P38 fly.
It really did look very nice in the air and the Z38's were plenty powerful enough.
Graham gave a very good display showing off the upper and lower surfaces.

The flight ended with a greaser of a landing.
I would imagine Graham had a wee dram when he arrived home.

Regards Phil G.

Hi Phil,
Yes thanks for your kind comments on Little Buck,I must admit my hart was pumping away like a good one!!
It was a shame Peter's 38 was out of action it would have been great to have Little Buck & Put Put up in the air,I did have a chat with Steve R and he is up for a 3 ship display!!! How good would that be with 3 Zirolli's in the air at once, not very often that happens over here in the UK.
I'm hoping Mr Dibble can post up some of his pics, Please Please!!!

And Yes I did have a weeeeee dram when I got back

Phil, my fingers ar crossed for Friday
