Just a reminder to all of my so called friends.

Landing 10 points
Landing in pine tree 20 points
Shaking airplane from tree 30 points
2 point catch 50 points
Seeing it all on the internet and finding out who your real friends are. !!!!!!PRICELESS!!!!!!!

The funtana is already repaired and ready for flight. The outlaw is almost back together and soon will be ready to recover.

All of those vids of someone that lands in a tree and hits the deck at about 150, but none of the great hucking that was preformed.

And what about poor Tim Garland always showing up a day late looking for the action that happened the day before. As for Jack Baloute, I will pay you the back for the new name.

Kenny Great Hucker Colson

No pine cone in that. HA HA

I though Bubba was dizzy but now I realize he was getting ready to fly the Outlaw. Must have been looking for pinecones.

Sorry, for a full size version you will have to go to my gallery.

That's right Frank, I knew that I still had one friend out there that wouldn't rub it in on me. I do appreciate the offer of bringing the climbing spikes cause you never know when those darned old pine tree will just jump out and zap you. That one Sat. had to have jumped at least 30 ft the catch my plane. It just so silly to see guys like "no show" Tim with those pine needles growing out of his ears, maybe he needs to check his pants some more may be growing there. HA HA. Love you guys, I knew Sat. that it would be on the net by Sunday. It was a great day of good flying and food at Union City and if you missed it all I can say is be there or be square. Thanks so much to Jim, Keith, Wayne and all of the Union City bunch for a great day with lots of fun.

That's a heck place to plant pine trees right in the middle of the runway!

so instead of using windex to clean your planes you can use pinesol cleaner

It is a good cleaner, but does scratch up the covering a little in places. I stripped the rest of the covering off of the outlaw last night and started to filling some gaps in the sheeting on the bottom, top is not hurt at all. Now I need to use something to get the oil out of the wood before recovering, denatured acohol seems to work good in the past. Also need to build some wing tips for it this time, I do believe that if it had tips it probably would have hit the ground anyhow. The videos from the flyin were great, especially the ones with the hucking going on.

some of us had a nice week end at Sikeston, Mo Saturday and Sunday. it was nice being there with Tim G, Nogyro and several others but without Pine Cone Colson it just wasn't the same. i tried with Tim G's help to get things going by crashing my delta wing but a take off crash is just not as cool at a 140 mph post hole digger. haha!
they had a big crowd and several giant scale birds along with assorted smaller planes and a couple spoilers. wish all of you guys could have been there, maybe next time.

So, Does anyone have a realistic idea of when the Spoiler will be for sale? I'm guessing that if they are just getting the proto-types for evaluation, with no changes, that it would take 4-5 months to build , ship and clear customs. Sigh . I have my JBB and still fine-tuning it's trim, prop selection, etc. and definitley a long time from mastering it, but I need 2 Spoilers... one for me and one for my brother, plus maybe a spare.
Does anyone have plans for the JBB or Spoiler they aren't using? I saw JBB plans on EBAY about 2 weeks ago but I got "sniped" on them at the last minute. Sunday I flew for a couple hours and had a lot of fun. I cracked my Biela 18x6 carbon fiber prop on a prop strike ( crawdad mound sticking up in the field) and went to a APC 18x6 and am not too impressed. Spools up slower and just seems "down" on power, specially on verticals. It still climbs out nicely from hover, but not like with the Biela. Oh yeah, this is with a Brillelli 26SS gasser. I hate spending $40-$60 for props, but whatever.
Thanks again to all who have helped and encouraged me online with this plane, I hope someday to to watch ( or join in) a huck fest with you masters!!
Mike

i don't know when the spoilers will be here but i hope soon. i like flying mine pretty hard but i need for it to last till i can get another myself. if you like flying the bigboy with that gasser just wait till you get your hands on a spoiler with a OS 160 on a header and beer can pipe. YEEEEEEE>>>HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

A qick SPOILER question... If you already had a brand new Moki/Mark 2.10 and a brand new Saito 1.80,a fresh Brillelli 26cc gasser( 2-3 gallons thru it) and didn't want to buy a OS 1.60 , WHICH would you put on the new Spoiler ARF? I'm acquiring the electronic gear, batteries, etc for 2 spoilers. I'm buying a OS 1.60 for one but would like to not have to buy 2 of them. 16 servos, etc. is going to cost enough!
BTW, I do understand the concept of throttle management and don't mind carving up a new plane to move weight around.

i think i would lean to the 180 saito. the gasser will be heavy/ thrust, the moki as i understand it has great power but very heavy compared to the saito 180 and the 180nshould have good power. power is very important but so is wing loading if you want to see what a spoiler can do.

Where's everybody been, I know that Randy is working a new job, but old (NO Show) Tim Garland should be around. Got some pretty good flying in last Sunday at Benton, didn't get into any pine trees there. Trying to get the big Sopwith Tri-plane ready to go to Rough River next week. Did some hucking with the Edge and FuntanaX but didn't get the spoiler out. Has anyone heard from Chris on the prototypes, I know that Jerry doesn't have one yet. Cain't wait to see how the ARF is going to be built and compares to the scratch built ones. I know that my last one is on the light side especially when I run a 120 engine on it. Looks like tomorrow is going to be the best day to fly for the week-end. Got a e-mail from Frank about his new Edge, I suppose that he will be doing more building than flying for the next couple of weeks.
Get er flying!!!!!!!!

I'm in a bind on the new Edge. I need to gut the Extra to put the Edge together, but with all the fly-ins just a couple weeks away, I hate to start it then not get the Edge done. That would leave me nothing but slimers to fly!

I'll have Mac's WH Edge off the table tomorrow, so my bench will be open. If the weather stays crappy, I guess I'll just have to dive in and pull some all nighters. Dang, that kind of reminds me of the college days. I think I'm too old for that stuff now. LOL
