i went to Piggott AR this weekend for there fly in and had a great time again with some of the best people in the hobby. all went well until this morning when i planted my spoiler . it looks like when i slid the spoiler under tom's trailer and hooked up the charger last night i didn't count on the rain storm. well water must have followed the charger wire into the plane but we didn't see water when i put the wing on. after a few manuvers i just lost radio control of the plane and had to watch her hit the dirt. when i got to the crashed plane i found water inside the wreck and it must have got in to the reciever. NOW I NEED EAST RC TO GET ME A ARF FAST!!!!!!

after that we still had a great time flying my 35% extra and funtana 100X so all was not lost but my favorite plane was.

Sorry to hear about your Spoiler, Randy. I have been looking a 50cc 540 made by airwild hobbies. Do you know anything about this plane? Hope you can get a replacement for your plane soon. WayneM.

thanks waynem, she will be missed. at time like this it is good to have friends around to while morning a great loose. please everyone don't send flowers just make a donation to my favorite charity... the .....Randy Needs A New Plane Fund. JK! i do hate loosing the spoiler but they all go sometime, i was hoping the arfs would be here first though.

on the edge i don't know that much about it, but i would check around first. you don't want a heavy plane or one with a bunch of bad habits. not saying this one is or does, just check around before you spend the money.

me too cameron, i may have to replace my spoiler with something else. i hate to but i need a plane to replace the spoiler i crashed. there is a plane on the market i think will be close to as good as the spoiler and maybe better in some ways.

Here are a few from the HFI today. Oh, the problem with my YS in the GeeBee was a smashed line between the crankcase and the check valve. No pressure for the tank! A result of the last "less than perfect landing".

Doug I am glad you got a pic of Randy doing what he does best setting on his a$$ and drinking a pop. I think that he just finished a moon pie also. Great flying, a great bunch guys and some of the best pig that you can eat. Thanks so much Frank for a great get together. Hope that someone got some more pics of the flying, lots of big boys and x100 in the air at one time. Some good fast flying with the outlaws and electric jets. Giant scale and heli's doing some good flying also, just a great day of flying. No pine trees but I did bring my own pine cone on the hat, and if you missed torque rolling Tina you missed the best.

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that Jodie and I are still alive! Talk about wore out..... whew. I'm sure Dauber(aka Grill Master) is wore out too..... But I gotta say, it was ALL worth it. I had a ball yesterday, and I think everyone else did too. Lots of good folks getting together for some flying, friendship, and good eats. It just doesn't get much better than that in my book! A big thanks to eveyone that came out and made it a great day for all!

Doug & Jim,

Thanks for taking the pictures.....I had my camera, but was to exhausted to use it. If you don't mind, send the pics to my personal email addy.....

Thanks again guys and gals.........we'll do it again sometime.

That's it, you had a BBQ hangover.

I doubt if you were the only one with one of those. Guess what I had for lunch today? hahahahaha

Here is a pic of Randy showing Tina how to knife edge... I think... or is that a symptom of BBQ overload?

wildcrash, thanks for posting the picture of my down on the deck knife edge pass. most people could not make a pass that low and steady with that much wing load. haha!
i did like the other pics too, some showed the ultra nice grass on franks field. it don't get any better that that!

HA! I can't believe you got a picture of Randy doing that! At the very moment he was doing that, I was talking to a fellow in the pits, and was telling him " that's Randy over there, the one pretending to fly" hahahahahahahaha Timing is everything.
