Great to hear your Spoiler will be spoiling you again. I'm looking foward to seeing it soar and bore some more.

RR, this is for you buddy! I apologize for being out of touch for a while, everyone. We have had our hands full with moving into a new building and going through prototypes of different things, yada yada. We finally have the SPOILER where we think it needs to be for production to kick in. We wanted to wait and spill any beans after we were certain that the quality of this ARF would match what Jerry and all of you guys build from scratch. The wing is a very unique piece of art and things like reflex and wash in/out are very new to the ARF manufacturers overseas. The quality of this airplane is undeniable. Light ply throughout the fuse, very little balsa yet very light. They nailed the wing and we will be test flying the final prototype this weekend, weather and time permitting. We started working on the manual tonight, as well. I have a framed up Spoiler that Jerry built and I am glad I never finished it, as we had a solid piece of evidence to compare against. The wing is incredibly strong. My dad put all of his bodyweight against the leading and trailing edges, compressing it fore and aft, while twisting and it doesn't budge. Needless to say, we are tickled pink! Check out the pics!!!!! If this model flies like we know it will, production will begin immediately!

You guys are the first to see this...

A few more pics.....

The final setup is 2 aileron servos per wing half, 1 elevator servo per stab half, 1 rudder in the fuse for pull-pull and two different throttle servo locations for engine variations. The wing tube is super thick and very long, which is good on a plane with this much area. The landing gear is HEAVY DUTY. This final ARF prototype is much stronger than my scratch built version and weighs close to a pound less and mine isn't covered. It's gonna be awesome!

oh... and by the way, the SPLAT scheme will not have the SPOILER lettering applied. All of that jazz will be on a decal sheet.

yellow dog they all opened for me and look good.

thanks for posting chris, i had given up on you. how long do you think it will be before the arfs should be built and delivered if the proto types fly ok? i am just wondering how long it takes the factory to get them built a the a few weeks on a sloooooooooow boat. is the wing set up to be a two pc or will we glue the wing tube in?

It's hard to say, but we have made a huge leap forward. All I can do is go with what I get, as none of it is predictable. This isn't a speedy process. From here they have to be built, covered, QC'ed, packed, shipped to their local port, inspected there, loaded into containers and put on a boat, land here, customs inspects, transferred to freight handler and shipped to us, we receive, inspect and put our manuals in the boxes.

The wing is a 2-piece and can be permanently joined if someone wishes.

Looks great Chris, I like the ideal of a 2 piece wing makes it easy to haul. I hope that Jerry gets a prototype soon and we can really check it out. That will be a great weight if the proto is lighter than the uncovered one that you have. Will be great with a OS120 if the weight is 10lb and under. Hope that they are on market soon. Kenny Colson

cameron724, go ahead and build the wild stick and have fun they are good flying planes. the spoiler is much better but the stick is fun. remember i have seen you union city guys fly, by the time the spoilers get here the stick will be dead. haha!!!
i thought i was going to fly my repaired spoiler last night but had a servo gear broken. thought i had a replacement but it was bad too. i'm going to pull one out of my funtana and try to get it flying today.

I (we) appreciate your confidence in our flying skills, maybe its cause we ring them out or maybe we cant fly,one or the other.I will probably go ahead and build in a few more weeks when funds arrive, having to much fun with the EF yak since its seems to be running properly now.You need to come back down and fly sometime randy
