Thanks John,
But problem with this one is the wing arcs into the fuse .. I reckon it means take the line of the wing into the fuse ... it makes sense that way I think ??

The little bit of the arc means jack sh^& in terms of wing area I suppose ... and thats what it's all about ...

Thanks mate .. maybe maiden the little Flycat in the morn ...if this cold is a bit better!!!

Good flying to you all....

Rowdy

Good to hear ... Machette .. I still have 2 motors for you ( and credit!!! )

Woodsy - I didn't know you were a Taff she... sh...er!!! As they say in Wales "Bora Dar" or if its afternoon "Pronoun Dar"......spent 2 years at the RYA sailing school at Anglesey, a great time and a beautiful place. I'm half Welsh I think, with a name like Jones!!!!! Dioch an vow (forgive the phonetic Welsh).

Can't move on here for EDF's.....

Here's some pics of the new plane built by Wingcommander James. Not much to do now, just waiting on a 40A esc and servos and thats it. I managed to get the thrustlines set OK, a bit of a fiddle and guesswork, but seems OK and solid.

Now tha bed news after all the good news I had abut pension money....my doctor phoned ME (never happens usually) and said the results of my 6 monthly blood tests were back - and not good at all. Basically, I have CKD kidney problems as well as the liver transplant problems, but I feel great and should do so with treatment. Downside: I have to become a veggie (!!!!) , get exercise, lose weight, slow down, not work and have sex 3 times a day - well, 5 out of 6 aint bad is it No more new planes either, can only fly the 20 I have.....bugger.

See you all later, byeeee....Ta Ta (for Woodsy)

Looks great Tam .. looks like she'll be just the thing for those Windy Scottish days!

Mong, she's come up real well mate .. well done.

Flight report from today..
Late start .. seemed no prob though as the winds were light .. got to PP at 10:00 and the as I walked out onto the field to get the thums going with the Corsair .. up cam a strong wind.

No Dr1 .. again

Decided to risk the Flycat .. the experienced EDF boys were merrily flying around .. Mark reckoned the flycat should be slippery enough through the air .. so up she went.

Wow does this little plane roll !! A handfull to level up to begin with and was fighting the wind, but seemed OK .. then next thing I know i've rolled inverted at a low level and I tried to pull it up in a loop ... but missed ...

I really don't know what happened .. the video Mike took seems to indicated my motor quit .. and maybe with no push she rolled ??? I really don't know ... Have a look .. I will post the vid in a minute and post the link ..

Good news is I bought anoother airframe from Lyndon .. $45.00 .. but await there's more .. I rebuilt the thing in less than an hour!!! She's ready to fly again ...

Gota love foam !!!

Rowdy that's an impressive rebuild and bad luck on the maiden flight, I've heard mixed reports about the hobby city kit motors so it might be worth one day swapping it out for one of mark's beasts

Windy here...nothing new

Hey there Andrew,
May be best to do that .. I am gunna build the other one up with a stock pusher setup I think .. If this one goes in again ... well not much wasted.

All good fun ..

Here's the vid .. quality sucks ... I hate the new camcorder .. "it's a SONY" doesn't always mean quality .. my old Panasonic had heaps better focusing ability.
Watch (and listen) just before it turns over and I put her in ..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcEP6t0GOAE

Oh .. and just been out flying the Gem .. with flaps !!!

Really cool .. will definitly put them on the Fokker as well!

One thing I found though .. I tried 50% and then 60% ..60 was better .. I think maybe 80% next time ..

Soory to hear / see the fly cat, I have looked at them an similar a few times myself
It looked pretty fast in the air.

Tam
Looking at the photo's you seem to have left thrust, and quite a lot. Normally right and down thrust is required at about 3 degrees each.

Put the Gemini back together and have a new 12 x 6E prop ready for a remaiden tomorrow if the wind gods are sate'd. I will also try the Hawk on 6S with a harness I made up for my 2 1500mah packs, this will be kill or cure !

ROWDY - That was nasty Mate - Sorry buddy! It did seem to cut out, but why would she roll I wonder??

FLIGHT REPORT from the Canberra Kamikazes....

I arrived at about 9am to a small group already flying, OZ, Myself and bunch of other put quite a few aircraft i the air with very light winds. The ViVi looks a treat in the air and performed flawlessly as always. I put the new AR6000 RX in my Extrafun XL and she flew like a dream. I adjusted her rudder and am starting to knife edge her now. Although she is hard to orient in the air.

We had no issues today - Although a regular had told me that he flew his nice shiny new E-Flight Taylorcraft into the light pole the other day!! But it is fixed and back ready to fly.

A great day had by all - Weather was good... people were good... ahhh.. It's all good!!

I hope to be able to get started on the F35 tomorrow

Cheers
-J
