Status: offline 		Today, I received a 1:16 scale, 1941 Army fire truck, made by the Fairfield Mint, that I bought through Ebay. The details are really nice and since it is the same scale as Tamiya and Hen Long tanks, I figured I would share it with you guys. Both the fire truck and my Danbury Mint Jeep should make pretty decent additions to the Texas Armor Association's battlefield this summer.

I also have a 1:16 scale Army dump truck on the way. If anyone knows of a 1:16 motorcycle (maybe with a sidecar) or something like that, I would love to know where to find more stuff like this.

Status: offline 		Just HOW do you find these things? I must be typing in the wrong words because I'm always on the look for 1/16th scale support vehicles in the WWII era and strike out all of the time!

Status: offline 		Type in 1:16 truck and stop when you see olive drab. Both the fire truck and the dump truck are listed again at the moment.

Status: offline 		I received my dump truck today and I think that it is the coolest of the three! The tailgate is chained and can drop all the way down or stop and stay in a horizontal position. It also can open at the bottom when dumping, so that it swings out when the load pushes against it. The steering wheel turns with the front wheels, the whole dump truck has great details, interior and exterior, and it comes with a metal scoop. Even the engine and the undercarriage are detailed! The best thing though, is that there is a lever inside the truck cab that releases the hydraulic bed, which rises on its own. VERY COOL!

Status: offline 		Check out my photobucket. here is a 1:16 scale chevy c-65. it was made buy the same model company i think. from the pictures you can see how it was converted to RC. I don't like the drive axle, but its an idea.

Status: offline 		Well, that was really cool, Stuff! I'm sure that I could install the servo and electronics, but I would not know where to begin on the motor/gearing. I may have to sit down and give it a look and a think, sometime.

Yes, the Jeep, dump truck and fire truck are all 1:16 scale.

Status: offline 		A lot of guys tend to over-look all the other support vehicles that were involved with the war and military.I like to see those show up here on the forum also.They will be a great addition to any collection,I've been looking at the 1/6 Jeeps to go with my 1/6 stuarts.
