Anyone know anything about this helicopter. http://www.bananahobby.com/1455.html What do you think about it? Ignore the price when you are thinking about it or comparing it to others. Assume it can be delivered for $500.

overpriced for a bad trex clone. it has a bad gyro, servos, lipo, TX/rx, and the old style main gear. buy cheap buy twice.

i like the frame a little and the head seems fine but the rest needs to be replaced before any decent flying can be done.

oh and bannana hobby has allot of complaints from people in the heli forums

The reason I said ignore the price is I would be getting it for 100s less for the same thing. It is either that model, hone or a belt CP again.

100 less is still way too much, [the whole package isnt worth 200] [it all needs to be replaced] why not get the exi or a copterx and get some good electronics from the classifieds at helifreak, rcgroups, and runryder. and you could have the real deal probably for cheaper then your discounted heli that you wont be able to find replacement parts for. when you wreck the exi/copterx parts are everywhere.

i built a bad boy trex 450 that youll see on the rcuniverse heli homepage with all the best stuff and have just a hair more then your 500 bucks invested with some good shopping

All of the ones you are showing me are about twice the price of what I would be getting it for. The head and tail are trex compatible also.

as it's been said before... buy cheap.. buy twice.. you'd be MUCH better off with any of the ones i listed with a good radio..good servos..and a good gyro.. as far as the head and tail being Trex compatible.. which version of Trex are they compatible with? you could also buy a copterx or EXI and then buy a good radio/servos/gyro and still be MUCH better off

I am really not that concerned with buying twice at this point. This is my second heli and I am moving on past the Belt-Cp before I am really doing full flight and flying towards myself. Pretty sure I am going to be crashing a few more times.

unfortunately what you are looking at really isn't much better than the Belt-CP.. when looking at the electronics it's on the same level as the Belt and the Heli really isn't any better. might as well stick with the belt cp until you really want to move to a better heli.. of course, it's your choice and if you are set on getting it then more power to you.. you just won't be that happy with it and be looking for another heli sooner than you planned...

if you already had your mind made up then why bother asking for opinions? Not to be rude but it seems as if you have convinced yourself and are trying to convince others to share those opinions.

Just because you are going to crash more doesn't mean you should save a buck now. Even the pros know they are going to crash but they won't switch out of capable equipment for a cheap knock off.

Why spend 200 or 300 or more for a heli that is going to get tossed in a closet after 6 months, especially when the performance you are going to get out of it will be hindering you from advancing your skills. If you spend all your time fighting the heli because of cheap electronics that need replacing you will just be making it harder on yourself.

If you are one of those employment challenged individuals this certainly isn't an easy hobby but that should make it all the more clear how important it is to buy the right heli, one that you can learn on as well as grow into. Getting something used is probably a good way to go as long as you do your homework.

It isn't that I have made my mind up already. I just don't like attitude. It seems the majority of the people on here are just like the people that buy Ipods and that drives me nuts. So many people on here saying they are new to flying helicopters but saying that it has be like a Trex. Because something is more expensive does not mean it is better. I am not saying the Trex is a bad helicopter. I don't know because I haven't flown one. I am just saying most people responding about different models know absolutely nothing about them other than they aren't a trex or don't have the servos that they know. It doesn't mean they are bad. I would much rather hear from someone with actual experience with the helifopter instead of people guessing. Experience means alot but if you have never seen the helicopter in person or flown it, then the experience means much less.

ok... I said buy cheap buy twice.. I say this from experience.. I don't have a trex.. I don't have the best radio.. I don't have the best servos or gyro.. I bought a Black Hawk 450SE from ka-planes.com personally I think it's a great heli..and I highly recommend buying from ka-planes because Mike is a great guy and the service is first rate.. BUT, it does have cheap servos (same tower pro 9g servos in the heli you asked about). They're real cheap.. cost a whole $9 each.. and guess what.. I want to replace them with better servos that won't strip gears or break gears if I land a bit to hard or have a minor crash.. these servos WILL strip or in my case, break gears into little pieces. the Gyro works... but not great. it doesn't hold the tail as well as a gy401 or a LT2100 would.. it drifts pretty bad. I have a Wfly radio.. it's crap... it does it's job of letting me fly, but for programming options or using it on other heli's, forget it.

so when someone tells you to not buy cheap electronics it's because most likely, THEY'VE been down that road before and are just trying to help someone else from making that same mistake...
