i took my new rampage mt out and man this thing was a blast. the 28.5cc motor with the x-can with boost bottles works awesome. very surprised at how this import ran. in some respects better then my mcd. i punched a hole in the fuel tank. i ordered one from redcat racing and WOW great service. i received it in two days. i also called the support line they have and they gave me a fast easy way to remove the dogbone so i could install the new tank. the guy's @ largescalerc told me u were awesome and they were right. u guy's rock at redcat. keep up the good work. this is how u treat customers. thanks for the help.

OK, these things look freakin awesome. I ve seen the HPI baja's go around and I dont like them simply because they are only 2 wheel drive and look very tail end-happy!. I am very interested in the 4wd buggy.
What are my chances of bringing a TT5 Buggy into Australia? Who can I buy one off and is it best just to buy straight from Redcat Racing?....droooool

another question. Did I read that the centre diff is locked and that the gears are plastic?

yes the center diff is locked and the only gears that are plastic are the reduction gears but you can remplace them by metal ones

ok cool, thanks for that. My FOMO grows by the day.

Next question. Is the Rampage buggy available as a roller? No engine and no electrics and maybe a clear body? I would like to customize it straight up, with solid servos and a DDM G260RC modded engine and jetpro pipe. I already have all Spektrum radio gear with my Nitros.

Darin?

I heard RUMORS of a roller coming around... I'd only assume they'll come true sooner or later! RTM 1/5 scale is soon to be a reality... well in hope!

I dont know if I can wait however long that may be.

Has anyone got or run the 28.5cc motor with the side mount Jetpro pipe? Do you think it could be easily damaged in a crash because its sitting out there all exposed?

I dont like how they are exposed like that, but then again, the TGN pipe is going to be the same way. I suppose I'll wait to see the GBE pipe.

waitin for input on the rear exhaust system coming out soon from the factory. GBE is to also have an exhaust system, just tryin to keep my options open until I see one that best appeals to me. Hopefully the GBE is a rear exhaust setup.

Here is a video of the Rampage running at Mikestone Raceway in California.

PhatDad at Milestone #5

Phatdad won top qualifier in his first race. The only mods he had were Baja rear tires on all 4 ends, and a Baja tuined pipe stuffed in there. He had his truck delivered on Thursday and the race was on Saturday. This buggy is fully capable in the right hands. In the other hands, like myself, its still fun as heck. I did fairly good for teh 2nd time racing, even beat some regular guys in bajas and Hurricanes. Some of the Baja guys are realllly good.

We now have plenty of hop-ups available and on the way. Metal gears, dogbones, aluminum drivetrain supports, are all in stock. New pipes and roll cages are on the way and listed on my site RampageHopUps.com. For you Canadian guys, Vancouver Hobbies has boxes of hop-ups on the way.

I assume you mean MCD as the upgrade for the rampages?
