Can I charge in parallel= 2x 7 CELL NIMH PACKS THAT ARE AAA size 720 MAH, Im trying to get the pack weight down because its actually less weight than say a 1400 size 2/3rds AA pack .the total will give me 1440 MAH at 8.4 volts. and this is what I wanted longer duration and less weight ,no I don't have lipos yet. This way I wont need to charge the packs separately either.? can it be done?

You can, but make sure that both packs are in the same state of discharge, and then I would still monitor the packs during the charge to make sure one doesn't heat up too much.

say Tim that sounds good, I can discharge them with a small electric motor then charge them to get them equal. Now once I do this I wont have to check them again for the same state for the next charge up is this right? Thanks
