Hi
I have installed a PowerSystem Sport Plus in my new GP 25% Yak54. For installation, I have been using a 2100 mA NiMH pack, but have ordered a FlightPower Product Number: EVORX21002S Lithium battery for setup and flying (I have not received the battery). I am new to Lithium batteries, so can I ask some questions about connections. I notice from the photograph of the battery that their are three connections. Why three? I assume that one of the connections is a JR male, to plug into the B (Battery) receptical. Can I charge the battery with with my Accu-Cycle Elite by plugging its lead into the C (Charge) receptical? If I get another battery, will I be able to charge both batteries through the charge recepticals with my Accu-Cycle Elite?
Thanks
WR

Hi WR,
I am not sure why FlightPower puts two JR males on the battery. The third wire is the balance plug. You would plug one of the JR males into the Battery input on the PowerSystem Sport Plus. As far as charging goes, you will not be able to charge both batteries at once using the Accu-Cycle. The reason is that a "common ground" system is created when both batteries are plugged in. In order to charge both batteries at once you need a charger that can handle a common ground system. The Accu-Cycle cannot, you could damage the charger, battery or both. Also, with LiPos you run the risk of a fire if you try to do this. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
