Hi all. If you have not heard yet the Turmoil Pro has been discontinued. This sucks. I hope some people will continue to run it. As for me I have only had mine you a month and I plan to race it all year and maybe longer. I will still post how I am doing at the races. I hope others will too.

Where did you hear that from?

I heard that before. I posted this in the Turmoil thread about three weeks ago. Maybe things have changed since then.

Does anyone know if parts are being discontinued for the Turmoil by Horizon?

Do they even make the Turmoil currently or are all kits for sale old stock?

This is what I got from Horizon Hobby today. Hope this helps you.

Dear Rick,

Thanks for your recent email. We still carry the Sportswerks Turmoil Pro AAR and the Trumoil RTR as well as all their parts. To my knowledge these are sill current products and not expected to be discontinued. You can view them on our website by clicking on the following links.

my buds a hobbyshop owner and the only one thats listed is the RTR. he contacted his rep and there should never be a problem getting parts though. i think the turmoil and the mayhem are exceptional cars. not just for the money but at any level. i dont think they were marketed very well. its little things that mean alot. i got on my buds account and there are numerous parts that sportwerks makes for these buggies that ive never heard anything about on this forum, or any other forum for that matter. its just like the things that are different on the RTR and PRO. of course the towers, motor mount etc. but alot of other parts are basically the same but made from alot better materials. alot of you may already know this. sportwerks produces alot of 7075 alum. parts for these cars and i dont mean the bling, bling stuff but the things that make it more durable and stay true even in the harshest cond. i think its a awesome buggy and with a good radio, servo, engine set up its pretty close to everything else. just alot cheaper.

love to hear the feedback. I saw a post about it discontinued but as long as parts can still be had I fell alot better. I was starting too get what I could on ebay. I love racing this car and can run with anything, the v2 .21 is insane.

On the Mayhem buggies we would grind down the front-top A-arm in the front next to shock tower enough to slide a shim the width of the rear hub shims. This pushed the caster forward and helped the buggy turn better on and off power with brake and weight transfer with throttle. I beleive the Turmoils come with better caster postion than the old Mayhems anyway. You may give this a try but be sure you have access to more A-arms in case you mess up. Get a good set of digital calipers to help make measurements.

Hi all. I've alway felt like I knew alot about how to adjust my car and some what I am right but today I found a web site that added even more to my ability . users.pandora.be/elvo/ This site has a ton of great info. I strongly suggest anyone looking for more information about setups to check it out.

heres a list of the parts that the RTR and the PRO dont share. PRO has rtr doesnt.
key# prt#
193 9275 ackerman rack im sure some of you will already know these parts are not shared with the two but the newbs like myself didnt.
190 9248 hard anodized alum. front inner susp. mounts (7075 alum.)
183 9253 hard anodized alum. rear susp. mounts. (7075 alum.)
178 9186 alum. wing braces
166 2610 5x8 brake cam bearings instead of bushings
162 9144 top plate
161 9143 5mm shock tower (front)
164 9163 5mm shock tower (rear)
159 9125 chassis 7075 alum. hard anodized and milled for weight reduction.
158 9122 servo tray i thought this was the same also but its different part #
157 9120 servo tray alum. standoffs
156 9102 center diff plate
147 9230 1 pc. engine mount (swk, picco)
142 9196 7075 alum. clutch shoes
132 center cvd's instead of dogbones
126 capped wheel nuts 17mm

the only thing that suprized me was the top plate, diff housing plate, radio tray. i did some checking up and there machined. the servo plate is machined so you can mount the servo lower on the chassis. the top plate and diff plate are machined and except flathead screws where the rtr needs button screws. i never really LOOKED at them i guess. i will say again. i know alot of you guys probably already know this stuff but i checked everywhere for this type explanation between the two and all i would get is "shock tower, wheel nuts, thats about it." im glad i did the reasearch and i hope it helps some else out. i may have missed some things so if i did just make me sit in the corner.

now heres some option stuff for you newbs like myself with this buggy and maybe some veterens that just hasnt looked. i left out alot of the common stuff, nitride coated parts, springs etc.

9150 alum. rear bulkheads
9140 alum. front bulkheads
9097 alum. center diff housing
9122g carbon fiber servo tray
9154 alum. rear hub carriers
9252 2.25 degree inner susp. mount set
9251 1.5 degree inner susp. mount set
9170 hd hard anodized wheel hub set
9144g carbon fiber top plate
9102g carbon fiber center diff support
9250 hard anodized anti squat shim set 0,1,3 degree
9191 lightened flywheel(hard anodized) i hope this helps someone.

Great topic EH!, my son and I both race (son 18yrs old, has mayhem .26 rtr) I have a turmoil .21 hyper 8 port, both on 20% byrons I used Sidewinder before! NEVER EVER AGAIN (just 2 clean the air filters) . Its a dusty track with a few big jumps- ROAR legal, WE run all most same set up as supertool28 and it works good (center oil 5wt). I have won a few mains. This year Im putting in a 421b novarossi and my sons will be on 30% byrons , we should do well.
