Hey Guys. New here. I have a line on a used Turmoil Pro and was wondering what the parts availabilty is like and also where to get them. I mainly race dirt and paved oval but would like to do a little off roading too. I had a Mugen MBX-4XR a few years back but don't really want to get into the expensive buggies. Thanks in advance.

I recently cut the upper a arms 2mm ( thickness of a spacer) 2 move them ahead and it really helped turning thru the corners. The track I race on is hard with mild banking. This set up is from sportwerks web site

well i thought i qualified 3rd but i qualified 4th but anyway i finished the a-main in 4th. the start of the day looked bad. first lap of practice i broke a rear a arm so i put a new one on. also had to throw on some new back tires because the sand inside the tire ate away the foams. then at the end of the race, about 25 ft after i passed the finish line on my last lap i ran out of fuel. talk about running on fuems! lol all in all it was a good weekend.

Glad to see a turmoil group here. I just recently purshased my turmoils and am a lowely novice at this point. I started with the Turmoil RTR, which ran right away. No big issues ecept on my first run I lost a few nuts from my stearing.... Right after that I went and used threadlock on all of my screws and bolts. The .26 motor ran pretty good. Still working on the turning and break in process. Soon after this, I purchased the Turmoil Pro with the Spectrum DX 2.0. It has the Sportwerks .21 motor as well. I painted my body, installed the electronics, put threadlock on all of the screws and bolts. I then tried turning the clutch and notices it was stuck. I ended up taking the motor off, and it appear the milling is off on the piston or the piston sleeve. It jams when it is in the up firing position (closest to the point when the glow plug ignites the fuel). I looked for burrs or any loose metal, but I could not find a thing. It just looks as if the milling was off. My motor is useless at this point and I have not been able to run it once. Any thoughts from the pros would be grealty appreciated. After this dissapointment, I started looking for another .21 racing motor, but I do not want to go down the $300 route. I do not have money to burn. I am also looking to see if Horizon will do anything for me (maybe send me a new piston and piston sleeve)? Since thier warrantry is fairly strict, I am sure I am out of luck on the motor.
Overall, I like the cars. They are solid and firm. My RTR has taken a few beetings and keep going. I even made the mistake of ramming a concrete barrier. It did enact the servo saver (thank god for those) and it did bend up my server arm, but after replacing that, I was good to go. I see many downing the Termoil. Sure, it is not a $500.00 plus car, but for what is is and how much is was, I am very pleased. As I get more experience with my cars and with the sport in general, I will beging to customize and get the aftermarket parts going. I like the fact I have two cars that can interchange parts for the most part. One day, when I have money to burn, maybe I will get a primo car, but for now, I am happy (as long as I can get my Turmoil Pro rolling!). I think the cars will race just fine locally, when I get to that point.
One thing I did do is invest in the tools, spare parts, and other hardware. All in all, I think I have spent a total of 1K for my two cars, tools, spare parts, and other items to get going. It is not a cheap Hobby!
Lets keep the Turmoil Thread strong! Once I get my Pro rolling, I will report back. Once I get enough practice in my local parks, I plan on hitting the local raceway (with the Pro). I am a ways off from that, but I will get there.
JUH

I had the same problem with the pro, you just have to use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the engine. If its the same problem I had its called pinch and new engines have a lot of it so you may have to heat the engine for awhile. To get it from TDC use a flat head screwdriver on the flywheel to get it to BDC. I still have to make sure my piston is at BDC when starting it on the starter box or the flywheel wont turn at all.
Hope that helps.
