I am not very familar with this plane. I am looking for a ARF with a 2 peice wing so I can take it on vaction with me this summer. Does this plane come in a ARF and if so does it have a 2 peice wing?

No ARF, optional 2 piece wing. Super easy build, as mentioned.

Get the OMP Edge kit. It's a very easy and fun build. I built one a few months back is 3 nights. Jim

The OMP edge V3 is a great flying plane, and has a 2 piece wing. the 55 will be more than enough power for it. Very stable plane with very few bad habits.

Is that Katana a knock-off of the OMP plane that use to be made??

Yeah I think it is. Also I don't know if it has a 2 piece wing or not. You may want to look into that. I know a company called Accel makes knock off Katanas but they have a very bad rep. Keep in mind the Katana does not have the fiberglass tube running down the fuse and is much more likely to split in two from a soft crash.

here we go again,
another OMP fan bashing the Katana...

The TMPro Katana V2 46 is not knock of of anything, its completly designed by TMPro
belong to TMPro, manufactured by TMPro, and sold direct from TMPro.

OMP used to sell them in USA, and it was the best seller ever among profiles,
however after OMP stopped selling them all OMP fans turned against TMPro and its airplanes.

The TMPro Katana V2 46 is a 2 piece wing, 1 piece fuselage and built very well,
you can do some search back on forums and find tons of info telling how good it is.
It is very strong, and yet light as 3D should be, with great design of balancing against wing rock..
There was not even single case of the TMPro Katana V2 46 fuselage split into 2...

Insted of bashing other airplanes, just point out what is so good (or bad) in the airplane you have experience with !!

ohh,, one more thing; the O.S. 55 is light, so its great for the CG, just make sure you install it as back as possible on the rails,
so it will give you a good starting point to adjust CG later when you get better used to the Katana V2 46.

I am not sure about which plane yet. I am waiting to hear back from the guys at OMP but I havent heard anything yet. There is no rush so I can wait for the Edge to Get in. It is the most appealing plane to me epescialy with all the good things I have heard about it.

You should try both whatever one you start with doesnt matter I will Highly recommend the TMPro Katana V2 , and sure the 540 has a fuse tube not really and issue if your not going to crash besides fuse tubes dont stop the rest of the plane damaging , I have flown one Katana for years and its fine and im sure there is plenty still out there and firmly believe if its set up correctly an 3D better than any Profile Plane out there!

Bald Eagle This is 2 Piece Wing have a look here and it is shown on the Video! You should not comment on Aircraft if you have never owned one or if you are unfamiliar as you seem to be !

I just came back from the field today and one of our guys has the 55 ax on the omp edge 540.
This is the perfect engine for this plane.Unlimited vertical and has enough power to pull out
if something goes wrong. I would also put in in a mojo 40, great building plane, just have a color scheme
picked out before you start building, before you know your ready to cover.
