Eric and Gaspar,
We have a club member who has an Artes Eagle (Fadec controller) that he says he purchased in early-mid '07.
I own JETCAT's, and our club has experience with PST and RAM's, but no Artes...so...
On commanded shut down, it seems to take about 2 seconds to begin the process (while our other engines seem to be almost immediate) and given the tinder-dry grass we have right now, it is worrisome from a safety standpoint.
Is this a normal time lag, or does he need to have his controller re calibrated? If it is normal, can it be set to a faster setting?
Thanks for the input.
Dan

Dan:

Thanks for your question with regards to pilot command to shut down.

If the transmitter / ECU are trained correctly and there are NO ATV or throttle curve settings in the transmitter, when you move the idle trim to "low" the ECU will shut down the turbine. . .almost instantly.

I suggest the throttle channel be reviewed for default on all throttle channel options, plug in the HDT, turn the system on then menu up to the "START - INFO - RUN - Transmitter screen selecting the Transmitter option, then retrain the Transmitter. When finished, turn the system off, then back on. Menu up to the second screen and view the percentages in the upper right corner of the HDT. You should see 00% for trim low, 18 - 25% (est) for trim High and 100% for stick high.

Test run and command shut down. I am sure you will be OK.

Best regards,
Eric Clapp
