I do both downhill / freeride and dirt jumping.

I have a Specialized Demo 7 I for downhill and freeride, which is my main interest when we go to the mountains in summer. I only do dirt jumping because I live in a place which is completely flat, and the only way to really ride here is by dirt jumping or street. I don't have a real dirt jump bike, but it does the job well - Specialized FSRxc Pro '08 with Truvativ Hussefelt Stem and Bars, SDG F-Style Saddle, Maniac Seat Post, and Maxxis Holyroller 26" x 2.2" tyres. As a matter of fact, I only finished installing those components this afternoon...

I am going to start building a bmx bike though... so take that all you brainwashed into completes!

Aww, Shut up! Haha JK

Some completes are nice but, I'd take a nice built custom any day. Got any parts in mind as of now?

Haha. Completes are more affordable no doubt. I haven't ridden in a few years, so I wanna come back STRONG! Another thing is I think it will be fun to order stuff piece by piece and assemble. I love building RC, so a bike should be good fun. As for parts I have a few ideas. I am thinking of going with a UNITED frame. In the end I want it to be pretty close to this.

You can do your own at http://www.bmxtreme.co.uk/custom.html
I personally love the colorway. Keep in mind that the frame color is more digital than the real version. In reality the frame is more of a mint green/blue. It will look pretty good I think, and will be unique to me. That is one thing I love about bikes is the uniqueness is far supreme then skateboarding. There are only a few pieces on a skateboard, but bikes come in all different colors and options. Here is the actual picture.
(the blue one)

Forks (Having trouble finding brown forks, We The People Heliums also look like an option)

Dang this thread took off, lately ive been riding my Specialized Hardrock Sport. Man i love that bike, i feel way more stable on it than on my Daimondback. Tomorow i am going with one of my friends and hit the TRAILS at the beach. If i remember to ill bring my camera and take some pics. What are good brands of suspention forks for a 26inch hardtail dirt jump bike? I have RST's and want something better.

I think that would be much more to my taste. Black frame/Brown Forks (just two colors).
If I build a custom it will only be blue and white (sweet looking color combo IMO)

I wouldn't do the brown forks with the black frame. Check this one out. Although the bars in mind in this scheme are more sky blue, that was the lightest blue on the generator. What do you think about this one? The forks are white, but will have black graphics on them.

I like it a lot better than the other one. Looks original and doesn't have that "Came form the scrap yard" look

Here is a 7 second photoshop closer to the real color of the bars. I think this picture looks much better. The blue adds color, but it is subtle. The blue is more sky then the tiffany in the first picture.
