Hello--

Someone from a club I belong to is selling an Aeroworks 33% Edge 540T -- the builders kit version. Can anyone give me the measurements of the fuselage and height of the vertical? I need to know if they will fit in my transportation! Also, what do you think of this plane? The used one that I am looking at has a 3W 100 in it. Has anyone else used this engine? Is this a good match for the weight of the plane? Was is the general weight?

Thanks,
Garret

**EDIT** -- also, after I searched the forums, I am questioning if the one I am looking at is the kit-version. Did Aeroworks also used to make a 33% Edge ARF? Was the color scheme red and white?

Take a look at their old site:

http://www.aero-works.net/old/index2.html

Also you can find their kits on their current site on the left. Look under "Builder's Kits".

Hope this helps!

I have built several of the old "real" Aerowork's used to be 33% 540 kits. One 540 and one 540T. Both are not the newer Columbo clone kits but Aeroworks kit's. One of my favorite plane's. I have another one in the box that I have been setting on for over 5 year's and it will eventually be built. On a extreme diet with a 3W100 the yellow one weighed an honest 24.2lb's. The white one had a 3W80 twin and was built bone stock. It weighed 26.5lb's. Fantastic flyer's, what a loss. I have seen several of these built in the 28-29lb range with the old heavy 3W100's

Great, thank you both for your help.

BBW Walt -- is there anyway that you can measure how tall your Edge is off the ground at the back edge of the turtledeck right before the vertical?

Thanks,
Garret

Also, how many total servos are there? -- Not counting a choke servo if you have one.

Okay, thanks. But, I thought it had two servos per aileron?

The kit come's with the foam wing cores set up for 2 servo's. Myself and several other's at our field were intially running one 8411 or 5945 at that time with no issues. We did taper the aileron's and extend them inboard farther. You may have the ARF version pictured. No experience with that one.

No, it is the kit -- I just bought it last night! Beautiful aircraft!

Do you know if there is anywhere to download a manual? I will call Aeroworks later, but was just wondering if you knew.

Thanks for our help,
Garret
