Glenn,
I machined the water jacket so that the cylinder hold down bolts go through the water jacket. I added custom fit spacers between the cylinder and the water jacket. This way the jacket holds the cylinder down from the top instead of depending on the ears that break off on the bottom of the cylinder base. The bolts holes get brass tubing pressed in to seal the water from coming in contact with the bolts. I have done this to four engines so far and it has worked out well. No more broken cylinders.
Rick

If your CY cylinder cracks at the bottom, because of the two-bolt system, couldent you just drill and tap two extra holes for a 4-bolt Zenoah cylinder?
Are the cylinders (Zen and CY) identically inside?

Mine in a Falcon 41 on it's second time on the water so there's a lot left in it.

Ron

What RPM's you getting with this setup and what prop are you running ?

Have you GPS the boat yet ?

Thanks Steve

We were messing around with props yet and still getting it dialed in, seems like that all I did with it last summer. I know that it's got a lot more left in it but it was only hitting 49 MPH there radared with my buddies Stalker.
That's the one that I pulled the Sikk out of and dropped it in the boat that I threw together for my son, a Lazer 45. The latest one in that hull is now an RCMK Evo.
Here's the video of it's frst run with my son driving. Maybe one day I'll get to drive it! Keep in mind I've got a long way to go with this one yet too but not that bad so far.
